Anyone running successful curation sites?
I am not talking about autoblog. I am talking about high quality curation that is interesting and readable.
Is there any tips on the process of curation?
Tools? etc

I suspect the answer is probably "fewer now than a few years ago".

There have certainly been many legal horror-stories, and collectively they've increasingly publicized the fact that so many people's impressions of the legalities of "content curation" were rather seriously misinformed.

Much of what was formerly promulgated under the guise of "perfectly legal curation" actually turned out to be positively fraught with copyright difficulties of several kinds.

Curation = Duplicate content. even with all of the measures in place to note otherwise. As I see it, it would be the joint venture ( Google Bing and Yahoo ) Schema that would facilitate Curated content, and they simply have not done so.

So to answer your question I would suggest there are NO successful Curation Sites. UNLESS they are drawing from their own traffic sources, and not search engines.

Nope - sorry, but this is completely wrong. Curated content is "syndicated", not "duplicate". This post explains the difference between the two.

But the fact that curated content is syndicated rather than duplicate doesn't in itself make it legal (and it very often isn't), or exonerate it from being a breach of copyright (which it very often is, though the people "curating" it may believe otherwise).

Content curation is a process used by news websites for decades. Several online courses for doing curation were sold in 2012. Some bloggers misinterpreted the process to mean they could use content from other sites, which was never true.

While curation -is- the process of expanding upon and analyzing other published content, the curator normally follows this process for a subject upon which they possess superior knowledge. The writer then expands upon the information, linking back to the original article (sometimes quoting a very small part).

Content curation is not a legal way to use copyrighted content from other sites, as it was originally presented by some course sellers in 2012. If you see any of that old instruction (or courses for sale) still out on the net, the information is of little value.

The Moz Blog (SEOmoz) has an excellent Content Curation Guide for SEO available.

Which is the best for curation (with attribution to the original author), Curation Fire WP Plugin (James Carter) , Curation Soft Pro (Mark Thompson) , or Content Curation 2 Plugin (Walt Bayliss)? Any opinions or first hand knowledge?
