I have a good affiliate product to sell but my problem is the entire 1st page of Google is all authority sites each having thousands of links. I know my chances of ranking for any of my keywords is probably impossible. Are there any other ways I can promote the product without using PPC? Since many people do not go to the 2nd page of Google, are there any other ways I can make a sale? |

have you tried extending the keyword string ? just adding one word to it could cut the competition to a fraction. and many times without killing the traffic. remember it's better to get 10 % of 1000 searches a month than to get 0 % of 1000,000 |

Not a single website ranks #1 for all keywords. Long Tail Keywords are quite easy to rank for (even without backlinks) Just make sure you have an adequate title, description, and that the html-body contains your keyword-phrase a couple of times. You'll see some good results in no time. |

I really appreciate you taking time to respond BUT please do not re-post what looks to be a article. Be it yours or someone elses. Not to mention, it does not answer my question. Thanks. Quote:

Longtails is the way to go there are several tools out there that will give you ideas some are free such as google keyword tool. I like to know a lot more before chasing longtail keywords so I use market samurai ... I believe they still have a free trial.

Are you on Twitter? I wouldn't recommend pushing an affiliate product through it, but you can use Twitter to drive traffic to your blog.

Long tail keywords, that's what you need to focus on. And if you've got the money, try PPC. But do it only when you feel you've got good guidance.

You can do what Norma has said and I do think that if you do this on a consistent basis, you will get some decent FREE traffic from the search engines. I did a lot of experiments over the years with all sorts of advertising techniques and came to MY own conclusion that PPC is the best out there. Again, this is what has been working for me. All I can say: Good luck man and I do hope that you take action and succeed whether it is my suggestions or others here. Tal | |

Have you looked into "Placed Advertisements"? If you know how to do it properly, you can get a lot more visibility than standard search. Just make sure that you actually physically view the page that you're targeting to see if the Adsense on that page is visible to readers. Good luck!

As others mentioned, look for longer phrases with enough search volume and interest. And look for the words that the people most likely to buy would use for a search.

You can publish articles that have indirect affiliate links i.e. you publish a domain name within your article that automatically forwards on to your aff link

Hi Ron, Why not have a go at writing an article or two yourself and submitting them with a link to the affiliate product in the bio box. Don't forget to include your affiliate ID!! Have you considered setting up a blog and using that to promote your product? You could also visit weebly.com to set up a free website and free hosting. I know it is not what the experts will suggest but if cash is tight - why not? I hope that helps a bit? Ian |

Now everyone on here has figured out I go at things bass ackwards but here we go . Find a plr that is closely related to the product you promote . Give it away to everyone you can . Twitter is a great place to give away free stuff. Also (I know a lot will disagree) if it is make money at home related free stuff that helps internet marketers works well on traffic exchanges and safelist . I can easily direct 200 + visitors a day to a freebie from twitter alone and not piss anyone off. The deal is take all of this free traffic and direct them to an opt in to receive the freebie . Let the thank you redirect take them to a warm up page for the product you are an affiliate for , then to the actual affiliate sales page . If they buy great ... if not you can try ... try again since you have their information . |

Have you tried Twitter many get a great result from sales on there especially through affiliate links. Many will watch out for sellers advertising their own products and then retweet (RT) the same product with their affiliate link. kind regards sam X |
