YOUTUBE, where to start?

I am a fitness professional that wants to use Youtube as a marketing tool, more in the sense of creating relationships than straight out selling anything.
I believe in giving for free before giving for a fee!
My channel will have 3 sections (should I make 3 different channels?)
a - opinions and tips about exercise, diet and lifestyle
b - opinions and tips about life
c - video tutorials of basic exercises for a class that I have developed
I am quite happy with the quality of the content and presentation
Now I want to promote it properly.
Is there an effective tutorial, course, workshop or any other resource that teaches step by step how I can properly and effectively promote my channel and videos?
My advantage point is that I have not done talked about it with anyone yet so can have it pretty close to perfection when I launch. My disadvantage is that I don't know where to start and don't want to annoy anyone with another "look at me" email in their inbox
Thank you

Article syndication and guest posting on blogs would be one approach that should work well for your plans . . . there are some good threads on those on this forum (look out for comments by Alexa Smith on relevant threads). Those are ways of working WITH Google, rather than the usual outdated and less effective SEO advice of putting spun articles on every article-directory you can find to get backlinks which would be doing something that Google doesn't like. I forget the exact figure, but you'll see it in the threads . . . one link from a blog post on a relevant blog to your site is worth more than very large numbers of backlinks from article-directories and similar content, so although it sounds easier to just make tons of artificial backlinks, it does you a lot less good in the long-term (and can even get your site entirely delinked, as mine was from following the exact backlinking advice on a course I bought).

You can also make comments on other relevant YouTube videos (you used to be able to post one of your own videos as a video reply, but I didn't see that option when I recently tried to do it) and if your comment is really good, people looking at those videos might be interested enough to click through to your channel and see what you have.

Those are a few ideas, which I hope help you. I'm sure others will comment with other suggestions too

Considering how all your content is related to the same subject of fitness, it would be better to just have one channel. In this way, you can brand yourself more easily as the fitness/exercise expert, and the time savings you gain with managing just one channel can be put into promotion of your channel elsewhere.

What I would recommend would be the following:

    1. Post your best videos on FB groups and forums and give a lot of value to people.

    2. Network with people on Facebook and after giving them value and helping them I ask them to subscribe. If you are going to apply this strategy make sure that they are related to your niche.

    3. You can do YouTube PPV which are paid ads and from what I've heard they are very cheap.

    4. Fb ads directly to your channel for people in your niche.

Your #1 objective is for people to like your content and subscribe to your channel so make sure you are giving massive value.

    Hope this helps,

I'm heavily into YT. I won't plug myself, but I will leave you with 3 ideas you should keep in mind:

    1. YT Traffic
    2. Viral Traffic
    3. Google Traffic

Most marketers leave a LOT of money on the table when it comes to YT. I'm, of course, happy to take what they leave behind.

Getting YT traffic, and growing both your subscribers and video traffic, is one thing. But never forget elements 2 and 3. Those are the key to real money.

I think you should have one channel for all the videos that you do.

You can always put your website right at the bottom of every video that you create. From there you can collect the name and email of your viewers and when you create more and more videos down the line, you can always email them the new videos that you created.

When you do that, you will build a relationship with them.

So you haven't made any videos yet? This is all just a rough sketch of what you want to do? For one, my advice is to keep it all one channel. For two, just get started. Take action.
