hi
I have been trying to get a hold of Carlos Garcia and haven't been able to get a response from e-mail or pm's. If anyone knows how to reach him that would be wonderful. My 12 year old daughter runs a site on his Social Site Generator and I am trying to get it upgraded to the updated version and check on an enhancement we have asked for (parental verification). Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me reach Carlos. |

I don't know when this thread was posted, can't seem to find the date.
But I purchased his SSG back in April at which time he talked me into waiting for the new version 2.0 to be released. He said it was only a matter of days and it would be easier on him if I could wait instead of having the old version installed and then turn right around and install the new version. I agreed and waited with great anticipation for the new version. He got my money promptly when I ordered but he has been VERY BAD at keeping his word in delivering the new version. I have posted on his forums about the delays for the release, I have submitted tickets about the delays. Each time his response is, well our programers are fixing all errors bla bla bla. I left another support ticket with him asking him to personally call me his customer around two weeks ago. He has not bothered to call me or even respond to my tickets. I am giving him until July 15th to deliver or give me a full refund and I will be reporting him to the Fedral Trade Commission and possible the Attorny General of his state. Why? for taking money for a product and not delivering the product. |

Just an update -- I have still not heard from Carlos at this time either.
For us we purchased this software a while back - in fact a lot longer than April. We unfortunately have been told similar items. We were in fact told originally that the new version was to be ready in January. What is so upsetting about this is that this was purchased by our 12 year old daughter (11 at the time) for a site we were helping her with. It was purchased with her own funds from her savings account. She is very frustrated and upset. I am hoping that Carlos will get back to us and either make it right or refund a portion of the purchase. |

This is the reason why I refuse to take on too many clients -- why take on so much work if you can't give the service?
Unless, of course, they just can't be bothered. |

Just an update -- I did hear from Carlos today.
He provided a spreadsheet of all the items fixed in the 2.0 release. I am hoping to see an updated date as to when the 2.0 release is officially available in the next day or two from Carlos. -Stefanie |
