After building a number of websites, I finally have one I am totally in love with and want to really focus on.

I have started article marketing the site. What are some other things I should do to build traffic to this new site?

    Create content. Then create more.

Backlinks. Take some of the content you create and put them up on social network authority sites with nicely anchored backlinks pointing back to your site for the terms you're trying to rank for.

Create more content. Then create even more.

Sadly there are no amazing secrets to traffic generation unless you already have a network of websites to draw from, or have the ability and cash flow to convert PPC traffic.

Otherwise, it's create content, get backlinks, and rank for the terms you are seeking.

I don't know your niche, or what you're trying to sell. However, consider one more thing. Don't get caught up in the hype of social media for traffic. There's one universal constant in the game of today's internet: Google. Focus on ranking in Google and not only will the traffic come, but it will be more hands off.

Those that focus on gaining traffic from social media traffic methods have to bust their asses to sustain said traffic, and the traffic that they do get is from a different type of visitor.

    Just my 2c

What was said above - my best traffic always has and still comes from oragnic searchs.

StumbleUpon is decent - however it takes time to make your StumbleUpon account have any value that others would care what you Thumbed Up.

Research your niche, figure out what ISN'T available to that niche, and offer it up. Even figure out what people might be looking for that could be SIMILAR to your niche but is not exact. It's a start and a way to introduce those to your niche that might not even know about it.
