Best Way to Generate Leads to a Capture Page

Can someone give me some advice on the best way to generate leads to a capture page. I know that I can promote through facebook, or youtube or even word in mouth . I've also been told that buying leads is a good way.

Is there anyone who has a better way to generate leads? Or what are thoughts on the ideas listed above.

    The best way I think is to show on your page that your teaser or offer is good so people will take an action. If your offer is not good then who would subscribe? Sometimes, it's on the packaging (depends on the niche). If you're in ______ niche and your _____ is very poor then obviously the result is poor too.

    It totally depends upon your target audience. Facebook, Twitter are great for many younger niches but PPC can sometimes work better for an older audience 35+. You need a mixed marketing strategy for generating leads to your page
