If wordtracker gives a daily search count for a keyword phrase
of say 100 and I rank in the top 5 in Google how much of that 100 can I possibly get, provided my serp listing title/description is good. thanks |

I don't find Wordtracker numbers to be particularly useful, so there's no telling how much you would get. If the 100 is accurate and is for Google-only (though we know it can't be) then I'd guess you could expect no more than about 5 visitors or so.

As much as everybody seems to love WordTracker, I don't think I am going to renew my annual subscription. Not just because I feel their numbers are off, but I just do not find it user friendly. In fact, it's downright convoluted if you ask me.
I use a combination of other tools now which I can actually comprehend and come up with a usable list much faster, with what I feel are based on more current search data. Case in point - recently WT came up with a blogging tool (firefox plug-in) that allows you to search and list key words based on your current writing task. It's really a nifty concept, however there is no KEI value associated with the keyword list, so the key words displayed are actually the most competitive key words in your topic. This is a seriously flawed tool as it encourages you to write for outrageously competitive keywords, and it exemplifies the bass-ackwards design of the whole WT service. There you go, rant it up. |

I asked someone who uses SBI and their Brainstorm It tool
where do they get their search counts from. He said Wordtracker. SBI's students have been consistently creating high traffic websites for years and they still use wordtracker. That's got to say something positive about Wordtracker. |

Personally, I just trust Google's own tools. Why bother with data from meta search engines when you're targeting Google?
