Monetize with Amazon and Adsense or just Amazon?

Need some advice from other warriors about this.

Iv got a lot of experience with Adsense sites and had a few successful Amazon sites but Iv never used Amazon and Adsense together.

I have a site in the tech niche and it's gaining some momentum right now. I am adding product reviews to the site 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

Its getting traffic and making sales with Amazon. I have Adsense on the site but should I be using Adsense?

If I am using Adsense am I not losing out on "Sales".

From your experience, would you:

A: Keep Adsense block at the top and 2 on the right side bar
B: Add Amazon electrical banner ads to increase my Amazon revenue

The site has Amazon links through the content about 25% of content has affiliate links.

Once the site is getting 700+ uniques per day from product reviews, I am going to start bringing out technology news onto the site.

From that point I will be updating the site twice a day.

Thanks for your time and have a great day!

P.S I am also in the process of creating content to start building my list.

I know I used both Adsense and CPA on the same Site for many years and it worked fine. Never did Amazon, though.

I would suggest to just test it out. Adsense is a good way to make income but it is also a good way to lose visitors. It is kind of a one shot deal ,imo

P.S. You own "P.S." that you mention is the right direction you need to be going in

Yeah that's the thing, I don't want my traffic going away for pence and not pounds lol.

I really like Adsense but for this kind of site it seems like a silly thing to do, I think I'll stick with Amazon for a month then change it and see which is better.

If you really earn money through Adsense you must know the high paying Adsense keyword. I buy the big database of Adsense high paying keywords from here, if you are also looking for huge monetization must download this huge database.

Personally, I wouldn't dream of it, on a site I'm trying to monetize with affiliate marketing of any kind.

There's in inherent "site design conflict" between monetizing with Amazon and with Adsense.

With AdSense you get paid only when people leave your site by clicking on an ad, and want a site that encourages people to leave that way. With affiliate marketing, you generally want traffic to stay as long as possible.

I also think that having AdSense on the site detracts from the credibility and trust you need to establish, to make affiliate marketing sales. It makes you look like "just another marketer", much more than Amazon has to.

Regarding Amazon sales, when you have time to read it, this thread may be very helpful: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6608638

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I will stick with Amazon for now.

Once I have my content ready for list building, I think I'll make some banners to advertise my own free giveaway and weekly newsletter to build the list as big and as fast as possible.

      That's my plan anyway.

      Thanks again people!

Just for me, even seeing 'partner ads', such as on a major online shopping site detracts from the credibility of that site. Though I don't believe those partner ads are affiliate ads, but just paid ad insertions.

In my experience, if you are writing general content and just putting some links near the content, then you could use both or either and will make a little bit of money but not much.

However, there is a way to make much more commissions for the time you spend writing content, and that is to write really good product reports on specific Amazon products, summarizing what real customers have said, analyzing which alternatives are better for particular uses and exactly why, etc. Once you get used to writing those, they are easy to do, and I'd guess they make ten times as much money for your time, approximately, in my experience. You can still use general content, but find a way to put very relevant links to specific product reports in the general content, or just do the product reports only . . . people spending more than about $100 will take the time to find really good content to give them better information for their buying decision, if you give them that, they will click your links.

    Try it

    Chris
