Reducing Delay on Changeover to New Host
I offer website hosting to a few clients. When I change them over, there's always the propagation period of a few hours. The client usually has Outlook for which they use to view their email...which requires email "pulling" from their current email server.
There always seems to be a small delay between the point where the client "pulls their email over" with Outlook and the point at which my email server picks up the new dns settings and starts accumulating the email.
Any suggestions how to make the transfer be more immediate for the client without potentially losing important emails into outer space?
