Hi all,

I'm looking to earn roughly £50 (approx $80) per week to help pay some bills. A few years back I made some money creating Squidoo lenses which promoted Clickbank products. Unfortunately all my lenses were deleted after Squidoo got Google slapped and they changed their rules on spam etc. Anyway, what I'm looking for is some advice on what would be the best route to making my £50 target. Is affiliate marketing with Clickbank products still the way to go?

Thanks,

Tom.

  • That goal is very realistic and not hard to attain at all. Invest in a domain, hosting and autoresponder and you are pretty much setup to start building your list with free and paid ways.

It's certainly a way to go.

Whether it's the way to go, for yourself, depends on your own skills, Tom. But if you try it again, these days, do so with a clear understanding of the minimum essential requirements. Post #9 of this thread may help you. And make sure you own your own website and don't depend on any unnecessary third parties.

I used to have Squidoo leneses as well. I've changed over to list building and would never go back to depending on other services for my income. Google/Squidoo and the others are free to change the rules anytime and you'll be the one to get hurt.

Sales Funnels/Squeeze pages/ promoting your products or other products such as on Clickback, JVZoo or others is the way to go, IMO.

Ok so I'm seeing the general consensus is that making a funnel/email list is the best way to go. I have a little experience with this with a WSO course but I ended up getting in to a mess with owing clicks to people that I couldn't pay back etc. Is there a way to do this without click banking because this kind of stressed me out last time I tried it.

        Yes.

Few people who build lists get involved in "click banking". That would seriously reduce your potential for promoting affiliate products to your own subscribers, anyway.

It's mostly relevant to people involved in IM-related and MMO-related niches. And if you're planning to promote products from ClickBank, those would be the top two areas to avoid, anyway: Selecting the product

Clickbank still work. start small and scale when you have more income. The more realistic your goals..if you achieve it faster then more motivate you'll be. Good luck!

Going with Clickbank is a way to go but there are so many other alternatives.

If you are going to promote products through them, find products that can bank you higher commissions. Don't work with products that can earn you $20-$50. For the same effort you can earn from products that can earn you anywhere between $100-$500 from upsells.

I would also advice you to get your own domain name and website.
