Does it say the same thing about any other search results, or just your site only?

Hire a system administrator (for example, Linux Server Management - Professional System Administration - AdminGeekZ) to go through your website, remove the malicious code, and investigate how it got there. 9 times out of 10, it's because you are running old versions of a script with known security holes.

      Post your log there,
since I can't post link to the site, just search "SWI Forums" on google.
They have helped me to get rid of malwares 3-4 times about 2 years ago.
      I haven't used since though.
      Good luck.

This is about malware installed on his website, not on his own computer.

This isn't the kind of thing you can just read a tutorial about and fix. Your site has been hacked, and unraveling that and figuring out how (so whatever code you remove isn't just re-added by the hacker) requires a certain level of knowledge most people don't have.

So who are going to fix this issue? what they charge for this?

What WP plugins are you using? Running a WordPress blog alone shouldn't cause Google to display an alert, however there are some plugins that Google considers to be malware which could possibly be the problem.

Running an old version of WordPress would be an entry point for hackers to inject malicious code in his site, though. Making it a distributor of malware. If Google's marked the site, then it's already been hacked. They test for malware by visiting the site and seeing if the (virtualized) computer becomes infected with something.

    James,

Deactivate all your plugins and see if you still get the same message.

If not, then reactivate one plugin at a time and see which one is giving you the message and get rid of that one.

If that's not the problem then get back here and let us know.

But you need to begin eliminating possible culprits.

The message comes from Google, not from his website. It won't go away until he requests Google re-reviews the website to verify that the malware has been removed.

I think some people replying here don't understand the situation.

If Google's spider visits your site and finds a malware installer, it adds your site to a database of harmful URLs. This database is used to display a warning on search result pages, and to display a warning when someone visits that site using the Google Toolbar, telling them that the site is harmful.

Just removing the malicious code does not remove a site from the database of harmful sites.

        Hey Dan,

I do understand, and I also understand what you're saying.

        That's why I mentioned this...

I had a site with similar problems some time back.

I basically overhauled the whole site and the problem went away.

Being an ex-IT support guy, I always start with the basics and work my way to the problem.

Not always practical, but sometimes necessary.
