Paypal Buyer Vs. Seller Protection for Digital Goods

So, who usually wins a dispute or a credit card company chargeback?
I won a chargeback case in the past ($400!) from an unscrupulous buyer who filed the chargeback for 4 months membership fee, and didn't reply to my emails when I tried to resolve it (so I think they really had bad intent). It was still a stressful experience for me fighting the case (on the phone with Paypal a lot, sending lots of emails with screenshots etc. not knowing what was gonna happen with MY money).
What was your experience, if any, with digital refund or chargeback?
I worry as Christmas is approaching, as last year, that seemed to be the time for "months back" sudden refunds/chargebacks when people are broke.
