Advice/Help wanted first ever digital product sales page

Hi all,

I need some help giving me some feedback on my first ever digital product sales page.

Had a really unsuccessful test launch with FB - bought 500 targeted clicks (good metrics £0.3 - £0.12 per click) good CTR to the offer.

But not a single email signup, let alone product sale.

Anyone able to take a look and send some constructive criticism?

The Mass Blueprint? - by Adam Kitchen

I know the site is not mobile responsive (working on that!) so all the traffic was driven from desktop devices.

Must be doing something wrong to get 0% conversion rate to email subscription let alone sales.

Thanks in advance

    Hi...
to me personally, your sales page is quite confusing.
Just keep it simple and to the point so people may know the main benefit of the product.
"Buy Now" box is quite small and too long. Just use the same box like in WF or JVZoo,
The last one, there's no guarantee box. People love guarantee.
Related to the signups, you place it at the top and offer first section for free while people still have no idea what's offered by mass blueprint.
    Hope it helps
    thanks
    regards

Thanks Ivana, yes that makes a lot of sense.

Do you think we should work on some specific 'squeeze' pages that are less confusing and more just to capture the email of the viewer first?

You can create squeeze page and selling the products through your autoresponder emails. Or....you can also directly sell the product and if they're not interested, redirect them to squeeze page to give them first chapter for free.Hope it helps

From what I can tell, you have your Squeeze Page and Sales Page all incorporated into one single page. I wouldn't do that and I wouldn't send them straight to that page, either.

What I would do if I was you is, create a separate page by itself for the Squeeze Page and take off the Optin form on your sales page as I honestly got confused on what to do when I got to the page.

The key is to not over complicate things for you and most importantly, the consumer.

At the very top of the page, I see a place to put my email to download the first chapter of The Mass Blueprint. The thing is though, 99.999% of people are not knowing what they're going to be opting in for, because it's not stated.

Again, you need to create a separate page for your squeeze page and keep it simple, come up with a very good attention grabbing headline and a place for them to put their email.

For example... "Discover The 2 Weird Tricks You Can Use In The Gym That Will Add 6lbs Of Lean Muscle Mass In Only 30 Short Days" Then give them a call to action above your opt-in box but below your attention grabbing headline, telling them what to do(in your example, put your best email address below to receive the free report straight into your inbox.)

You shouldn't be looking for the instant sale, although sometimes it does happen. You should be more focused on building that list first and foremost(unless you have a good amount of affiliates who could promote for you and build your buyers list straight out of the gate) Then when you get that list built, you nurture that list with great valuable content, on top of the free report and give them the solution which is your course.

I have gave a lot of information out here and I know some people will agree with me and some will disagree with me, but since being in this industry since 2008, I am giving tips on what has worked for me and those tips are based on solid, business principles.

P.S. Sorry for the grammar mistakes, I suck at when to know where to put commas and all that stuff and put them in places they don't need to be. I am a pretty good speller though!

      Yes...Yes...Totally agree.
The optin and sales letter are better to be separated.
      good point, mate

Also, I might add your main focus on the Sales Page is to do one thing... That is to get the sell and nothing else and if you have your system setup correctly, then you will be adding those purchasers to your buyers list.

    Adam,

I tried to buy your product, but I couldn't get the opt-in form out of the way. JK

It came up in an overlay with no "close" button which left the impression that you wanted to force an opt-in.

I concur with previous suggestions re: a separate opt-in page for your free offer, but would suggest that the only time you show that is when the visitor tries to leave your sales page (i.e a "exit" offer).

At best, you'll get nothing but opt-ins from the page as it stands, and probably very few of those.

Next you have to ask yourself whether you really even want to build a list.

A better option (IMHO) is to recruit affiliates for your product, and let THEM build the list. If they are already active in your niche... they most likely already have such a list. You could even provide your current "freebie" to them as a rebrandable ebook, and let THEM give it away to their lists and/or post it as a free download on their blogs!

Affiliate promotions will bring you far more (targeted) traffic to your sales page, and you wind up with a "buyers list" of all the paying customers.

How do you get rid of that pop up box? Straight of the bat a lot of folks will find that annoying.... Also if your FB ads are going straight to your sales page then from my experience FB generally does not like that (you're lucky this time round with getting your ad approved)... and also many FB users find that really annoying... Think about it... If you are on FB doing your social media stuff with your buddies - the ads these days are over saturated, annoys alot of FB users to land straight to a sales page and is becoming blindsided/ignored with very sarcastic comments within the posted ad... I also found out the hard way....

    Now...

What worked for me - is to use quizzes like you see on buzzfeed (or something entertaining/useful etc) to get folks to engage on, share outcomes etc... Can go viral as I found where at some point you don't even need to run the ads any more due to the organic sharing and likes etc... At the end of the quiz you can drop in your link for a great bonus... get them to signup to a simple page and then over a period of time make the sale after a few messages....

Oh and one last thing play around with the demographics, interest filters, geo locations, age, gender etc.... As your targeting might be too broad!

    Good Luck ;-)

Agree with all of the suggestions above about having one-purpose per page - but I am curious how you are targeting your clicks...the opt-in box +video you have should be enough to get at least a few percent opt-in as it is IF you have targeted your ad well and the promise of your ad matches what you have on your page. My guess is that your targeting is too broad (also gather this by the low click price paid). My experience with FB ads is that highly targeted ads, while you may not get as many clicks, convert extremely well where the ad closely matches the offer on the opt-in page (I have had opt-in's in the neighborhood of 80%)

I would look closely at your ad, your targeting and how it aligns with the offer on your opt-in page.
