Should I include this affiliate product?

Planning to launch a new product and I'm not sure if I should promote the product of this expert in a niche within my category.

Thing is, I plan to, in the future, launch my own product that will be similar to that expert's so I don't know if it would be a good idea to introduce someone's else product.

    Well I don't see a problem as you can always change it afterwards, when you are ready to launch your own product... At that point you could even compare the two (and any others) whith outlining why yours is better...

    If you're uncomfortable due to branding/positioning.... Then I would just promote this product on other websites/platforms at least you will be able to gauge the commercial viability... If you making money from it then that is a good sign to create your own product....
