Is it okay to create two different businesses focusing on same field?

Hi,
I develop applications in the current business partnership (which is an application empire, basically many apps are hosted from single business and I am in Majority ownership), but unfortunately, certain applications are not approved by most partners / owners in the business, and for the rest of apps, I do not find the current team to be fit to develop with.

So is it ok to create multiple businesses focusing on applications? They all will be entirely different applications... I just want the apps to happen and that too with the proper and deserving team ...

Please ignore my english mistakes

Thanks!

There should be no problem doing multiple businesses as long as you make it clear from the start how you are going to avoid conflicts of interest, how any code might be shared fairly etc. Think about all the possibilities that could happen, be honest with everyone involved, and get everyone involved to agree and sign a clear written agreement before anything is done, so there is no confusion or mis-understanding.

I don't see any issue with it. You should go for it.

Their is nothing wrong with doing another sideline as long as you don't take preference, or compete directly with your JVs.

Thanks, what does competing mean? Like... making similar software?

I wont do that. The software will be unique and completely different. So am I safe then?

many porn companies have 100+ porn websites in their portfolio,

so if 100 website works for them, then 100 should work for you, regardless of the niche

bounce the traffic around between your sites to enhance payment potential

I don't think that should be a problem as long as you don't do anything that directly conflicts with the interests of your JV partners. You just don't want someone to come after you because you started a business around something they didn't approve of in the first place. It's more about intellectual copyright issues actually. Play safe and don't infringe copyrights.
