If I had money to invest, what on-line business would absolutely work?

Dear Warriors - at this time while I wait for an unexpected pension to come in, I am exploring potential on-line opportunities - but with all the claims that everyone of them works (and we know that many are scams and are just talk) how does one know which way to go?

So being that this is the premium forum in the world where there are Warriors doing extremely well in their on-line business -- and -- purportedly this is a place where people are supposed to be friendly and share insights with each other (which I hope is true), I thought I would ask for advice ... because I have never been in this position before.

On the other hand, I have read statements by other warriors who say that if you work hard, focus on one opportunity, don't keep changing, do the right things you can have success in many different type of ways -

also it is said not to believe anyone who says their system will make your a millionaire, or they have an automatic system that does everything for you

but what if, what if, a person who had money to invest, could be successful - what if their true motivation for this success wasn't just so they could live an easy life, pay off their debts, have every material possession and time freedom, spend more time with family but their true goal was to help:

a) with their success help other people to do an on-line business and to succeed because they found a business that works if the person does the right steps and has some money to invest in their business -- or --

b) because they are sitting on projects to help make a better world, a more peaceful and harmonious world - so that eventually everyone has the chance to live a happy and prosperous life - but they had to do one of these on-line businesses to become their own investor since other investor for the most part only care how much money they make and not to give back and tithe like the book "Think and Grow Rich" describes.

So to summary - does there exist some opportunity that having money to invest will guarantee success because those who offer this opportunity will help and because those who are already successful in this opportunity already have more money than they know what to do with and therefore have decided to give back.

Also another thing I haven't seen is why isn't there books about how these people got to be successful - talking about in detail the steps they took to do so, so other people might be able to duplicate this success?

I hope my interpretations might be incorrect, or that this message could start some discussion - that something good will come out of this, a success which could benefit many of the warriors still working hard to be success on-line.

I have heard that only 3% of people who do try an on-line business may see even a small amount of success ... can we become a force of brothers and sisters working together to change this somehow?

as I know from my life linked to my spiritual perspectives and experience, we can all great a wonderful reality - my hope is that perhaps I may meet other friends here that collectively we can help each other and change the world

A seeker and explorer - just one business that (really) works for many :-)

Is there any offline business that you could start that would guarantee success? Of course not. Businesses -- new and old -- fail all the time. So why would that be different online? It's certainly true that some business models -- online and offline -- are more risky than others, but I can't think of a single business model that offers zero risk -- at the very least there's the opportunity cost of your time and money to consider.

Speaking of time, I'd also caution you not to treat starting an online business as an "investment". To me an investment is passive -- a place where you put your money and then largely forget about it.

Starting and running a business is anything but passive -- it's a lot of work, especially at the beginning. And by "beginning", for most businesses I imagine that means the first three to five years. (Three to five years that is, if they're lucky and the business actually succeeds -- which isn't the case for the up to 95% of businesses that fail.)

So if you're looking for a guaranteed investment, I recommend putting your money in the bank. If you want a guaranteed online investment, open an online bank account. If on the other hand you're willing to work hard, work smart and willing to take a very substantial risk, starting a business can be lucrative -- and a lot of fun!

Go for something that doesn't involve a website. Start with YouTube, Ebay or Amazon. Building a website is very easy, but getting traffic is the hardest part. Even if you do succeed at getting traffic, most people will leave before you can make money from them.

    To the seeker and explorer,

What you have described is the online version of buying a franchise in 'Subway' or 'KFC'.

That is, purchasing a proven successful business system with step by step training on how to duplicate the original success.

What exists in the online internet marketing niche is a joint venture (JV) partnership programme that fits your description. That JV partnership has enabled me to make my breakthrough to online marketing success.

I don't understand how you "wait for unexpected pension."

But if you are going to receive some money then I would suggest that rather than try to start from scratch you buy a business that is already up and running. Something where the current owner can show you audited financial records that prove the business is and has been profitable.

Personally there no one method that is a guarantee money maker that depends on how good you are and how dedicated you are to make things work. The last thing that I would is for me to say hey try this only to find you wasted that money.

Am I say dont invest in the im world? No im not, invest a little but only if you want to make it. Learn a method, master a method and take action with that method. Having a strong understanding of how things work is a must in anything you do.

When I first started out I had a luxury budget of $ 300 but if I was to start over again then I could have the same success with spending $ 100 because of the understanding of what works for me. Nothing compares to experience.

What ever you do good luck. I hope my advice is ok.

Only if you can afford for paid traffic I would try an online business. It's all trial and error really. I would set yourself a goal and a budget and if you don't hit it. Then seek a certified financial planner and get 5-6% on your money!

I believe in business nothing ever promises success or it is a scam. You need to be willing to put in the hard work and you cannot do that without passion...
So to me it comes down to that:
What are you passionate about? When you find that, you find your perfect business and where you should invest in.
Everything CAN work starting it correctly. I'm working online now for 3.5 years and I'm making every cent I make online but not without much effort on MY end

There is nothing that can guarantee you success, neither in the offline, nor in the online business - only thing that works for sure is working really hard of for what you want.
Yet I can recommend you to master one of the CPA/CPL methods, which are sure to bring you profits if you're good.

I have tried affiliate programs but my best investment has been in quality reseller programs where i have full rights to the product. You have to have your own website for this but it is worth the effort in my opinion. But there is no golden caret any online business venture is a risk no guarantees .

There arent any. Put your money in a CD and forget about business.

    Or:

Accept that money is being made in every business but only by about 2% of the people who are trying to making to make money ever do, and for a ling list of reasons that all boil down to that they arent doing the right things.

Send targeted traffic to an effective sales funnel. Thats really it. Or you could start a site and sell ad space. Its simple but very hard to do profitably.

Anybody can figure it out but most people wont. Theyll give up or get distracted before they figure it out.

Figure out how to get traffic, figure out how to get people to buy things. Thats pretty much it, but it takes most people a few years of learning through experience to figure it out.

What do you mean by waiting for an "unexpected" pension? You either have money to invest...or you don't. And judging by the title...you don't...and won't.

Purportedly, being the operative word. If you've never been in this position before, then you have a lot to learn.

This is true to a degree, but the truth is always a bit more complex, isn't it?

Very true, although it's very sad how many people STILL buy into the dream of automatic riches pumped into their accounts like they were Drake. Minus all the hard work.

No, there isn't. There's no such thing as a free lunch. And people that have more money than they know what to do with...don't do anything...because they don't know what to do with it. #irony

Because often times, great success is at the expense of many others. It's a zero-sum game. There's a few winners and many many losers. Also, why would someone want you to duplicate their success? It makes you a threat to their own enterprise. Haven't you ever taken a business class? No offense but you seem rather naive about the way the world works.

This is true for a myriad of reasons. People are oftentimes lazy, inconsistent, unskilled, unmotivated, or distracted by life's happenings. As far as your second question, the U.S. has antitrust laws that prohibit the creation of trade unions, which is what you're essentially describing with a "force of brothers/sisters working together to change this somehow". So legally, it cannot be done.

The OP sounds very elitist. The world doesn't owe you anything and you'll be in for a rude awakening with the attitude you seem to have.

Also, if you're spiritual, then start a non-profit organization..or work for one.

I find it insulting when for-profit organizations act like they're changing the world or are a force for good. For-profit organizations are...for profit! Nothing else is more disingenuous than a for-profit company acting like they stand for anything other than profit. But anyway...

If you want a business that is guaranteed to work...here it is:

    1. Have a product or service that someone wants.
    2. Connect with that someone who might want what you have.
    3. Engineer the transaction. Make the deal.
    4. Repeat.

This works whether you're selling eBooks, drugs, religion, plumbing, or lemonade.

Exactly! Especially if you are starting out online and also have the needed money to invest. Having a coach/mentor is essentially hacking the learning curve and saving you valuable time you would've otherwise spent figuring out - through trial and error - what to do in the first place.

I agree with the person who said real estate. I have spent thousands on trying the get-rich-schemes, online businesses, etc and failed at all of them. Meanwhile, staying involved in real estate which is my profession anyway.
I am a realtor who buys/sells real estate and also works with investors.
However, where I make CONTINUAL money ON MY MONEY is a different way of doing real estate and it is very profitable. I started with $1000 and have a constant, and passive, income. In fact, I plan on selling my real estate company this next year, but stay in real estate doing both aspects of this business.

    God Bless!

The problem with online investment is that, while sound invetments can be made, you need an existing framework to be confident of a return.

For example, let's say you wanted to outsource Kindle books. You could hire a very good writer and have a well-illustrated cover created and even pay for some hefty promotion. But it's still not as much of a guarantee of success as you may like. But, if you had an existing author profile, and a list of previous book buyers, and a strong social media profile, then your chances of success shoot up considerably.

That's an existing framework. And the same can be said of just about every other potential IM avenue. You could buy existing profitable websites on Flippa, say, but would you have the know-how or freelance administrative team to adapt to new challenges if the profits fell?

If you have money to invest, then I'd consider developing some expertise on something more tacticle. Art, movie posters, first editions, fine antiques and collectibles, old comic books, etc; if you really understand what you are investing in, then it's as surefire as investing gets.
