Use this tip to filter interesting emails for later read

Hi,

I have used this technique and it helps me to select what I like to read later, in my email box.

You might have subscribed to a lot of newsletters or email list, which may be in one niche, or in a number of niches.

Now when you suddenly open your email, probably at the end of the day when you are already tired, you might have found a number of emails that seem interesting to you, but you do not have time to read them, right now.

What you can do is create a special folder where you store all these emails.

And every other time you open your email and find another email that looks interesting, just direct that to that folder. And then open that folder any time you feel comfortable and read these emails.

Another benefit of doing this is that your "interesting" emails could quickly bump down, since you will be getting a lot of emails, and thus get lost. But by storing them in a separate folder, you can keep track of them easily.

Create a folder named "1-BEST" or something like that. Use the "MOVE" feature to move emails that looks interesting, or you wish to read later, into that folder.

Now you may ask why name the folder as "1-BEST" instead of "BEST"? This is because your folders will always be arranged in numeric and alphabetic order, so in this way that folder will always remain at the top (hence it would be easily noticeable). This is esp helpful if you have created a lot of folders or filters in your email.

You can also do this by using the favorite feature (star mark), but i have found this method more effective. Because here you can open the email and then move it also.

Effective organization = Lessening of info overload.

Oh this is interesting. While I do have a separate folder for things I like, I never had the idea of numbering them. Thanks for sharing this info!

This tip might look pretty simple, but i am amazed by its effectiveness.

Imagine you have got six emails that share you something interesting, or share you a valuable pdf.

Just direct these emails to a special folder, and you are done.

Now you can create a separate time block for reading (or taking notes) from these emails. And you can always create a separate time block for this task. Thus you would be more prepared for this reading.

Another benefit is, these emails will not go down quickly, since new emails are not coming into this folder. It is only when you add emails to this folder they go down. So, they will always be stored in that folder, and you can read them more than once, if you wish.

Even if you have created more than 50 filters in your email address, you can always direct interesting emails from these filters to that special folder, and they will be stored there. You don't have to go to search each of these filters, again and again. Just open your special folder, and read these emails.
