Be careful with your business domain name

I'm sorry, but a pretty hilarious domain name I came across reminded me that before you register a domain, you really need to check it several times to make sure you're getting what you really intend.

I was looking for the web site of Farmers Exchange.

Do you understand why that may not be the best choice of domain names?

Here's the alternate version...

Farmer Sex Change

ha! I know what you mean... I came across a domain name the other day that caused me to take a second glance --- it had the same exact affect as this domain... I had to chuckle to myself and wonder if they get some odd visitors to their site.

And, this is where a hyphen in the domain is handy.

At least, it helps keep someone from misunderstanding your domain name in this way.
