I'm developing a membership site using WP. I have a copy of Wishlist which I may or may not use (memberwing second option). I'm not entirely happy with the idea of using Clickbank but I want the ability to offer my site to affiliates. Can anyone recommend a good alternative (RAP, etc)? Thanks Andrew |

Hi, If you are using a WP platform, Memberwing is a good one. Not sure about the affiliate payout, but I tested MW with RAP and it worked flawless. RAP taking care of sales and affiliates with PayPal and MW controlling things on WP. Very nice set up. Thanks, John |

Shareasale is the only affordable affiliate network I trust. The paperwork, tax liability and legal liability of running an in-house program is much more than what you save by not outsourcing it to an affiliate network. |

Thank you. I'd prefer to use Wishlist only because I already have it, but I like the fact that Memberwing integrates with RAP. I'll have to consider this. Quote:

CB is only appropriate if you have a small number of fixed price products, are willing to send people off site to Clickbank to pay, can offer a 100% money-back guarantee without conditions (implying you have no or little cost to providing what you're selling), and are willing to pay twice the processing fees you can get elsewhere for the benefit of the affiliate program. Someone with a business that doesn't fit that mold, which is more than 9/10 businesses outside the IM niche, has no use for Clickbank. But you can integrate a network like Shareasale with whatever platform you use, including custom built checkout flows. |

I'd vote for RAP as the best affiliate processing framework. And it's not because it works with memberwing but because the virtue of having RAP as affiliate management system on your portal attract affiliates like honeypot. If i'd be in affiliate business - I'd just blind search Google for RAP-powered portals and promote whatever is being sold via RAP. Here's one secret of affiliate relationships I recently observed: I currently helping affiliate manager for one of local successful technology companies. They work through the popular affiliate network. They specifically instructed to "cancel" sales for affiliates that refer sales above $1000. That means they'll pay peanuts and outright cancel payoffs for bigger sales. Wanna be an affiliate if you'd know it? But you'll never know. With RAP - it's impossible. You, as affiliate will get paid right away. That's why it is so attractive and fair for affiliates. It's win-win business technology. Gleb |

Hey Adam, Quote:
This combination was/is a result of people wanting to use RAP for front end sales and affiliate management, while using WP for content delivery and membership management. It was/is a very strategic business move on Gleb's part. Thanks, John | |

Has anyone had any experience with Google's affiliate program? I started looking at this one for a subscription site as well. Thanks. Kristin |

We offer a great Wordpress Membership plugin called Member Lock that works with Nanacast.com Nanacast tracks by cookie and IP address and additionally has a smart affiliate theft detection system. The platform also provides an affiliate promotion campaign tracking system where affiliates can set up unlimited tracking campaigns for each offer you have. It also gives you a simple and easy to use affiliate tool automation system that allows you to create emails, banners, html tools and more automatically populated with your affiliates links. You also get integrated upsell/downsell systems and coupon marketing system that integrates with the affiliate promotion system in unique ways. You can create coupons which are assigned to individual affiliates and adjust pricing, commissions, and even assign bonus thank you pages or membership content to be delivered when a specific affiliate's coupon is used. Member Lock uses the Nanacast platform as a more secure and stable processing and affiliate management system than the wordpress environment with the additional option of dripping and broadcasting scheduled content into the blog. You can even look up an individual subscriber and broadcast content direct to their account that only they can see and all content can be personalized with your subscribers name and up to 50 fields of demographic data available for you to optionally capture when an account is created. By using Nanacast and member lock you also open up the option to add back end upsell and downsell via one click secure credit card processing or paypal and 2checkout etc. which can significantly boost your bottom line as well as your affiliate's earnings. We can also automatically add and remove subscribers on subscription or unsubscription to both Aweber and Getresponse. In sheer abilities with our affiliate platform, our ecommerce platform, our membership, podcast, rss, digital and physical product automation and wordpress membership integration and as an all in one solution there is not much else that can do a fraction of what we can do. And Gleb if you want to check out our API and look at member lock as an example and integrate your plugin with our system... you'd be amazed what you can pull off using our ecommerce and affiliate system if you integrated it with your own plugin. That is really why we provide the API is for developers like your self to take advantage of one of the best ecommerce automation and affiliate management platforms on the planet. If anyone wants to take it for a free spin just select affiliate account from the drop down on the registration page and once you confirm your account login land click the free 7 day trial found in the left menu in red. |

Hello, I would go with Clickbank first. If not you should be able to use Paydotcom.com which uses paypal so I guess it would work for membership sites. You'll have to check with them. Mike |

Hi Mike, I was under the impression that Clickbank was products only. Is that not correct? Thanks! ~Kristin |

I suggest you choose membership component for WP that includes integration with an affiliate script such as iDevAffiliate, or Post Affiliate Pro. You are responsible for paying the affiliates, but that can easily be achieved through PayPal Mass Pay. |

| Unfortunately PayPal Mass Pay won't take care of the accounting, collecting W9 and W10 forms, filling out and mailing 1099-MISC forms, fraud scrubbing, and all the other things you need to take care of to run your own affiliate program.
