How do People make money by creating PLR Items?

I have been a bit baffled by how people make money creating PLR items. I mean, I know that some people create hundreds of items and can make money by having those items available in a membership site.

But what if I have created only one item and I want to make it a PLR item. How do I make money out of that.

I have a series of 12 video tutorials on Twitter that I did. I am a member of surefirewealth and could put them on there but still don't understand the money concept.

Can someone explain it to me?

    You make the money by selling the PLR rights to whatever product you create.

    So you have a video product. You sell the rights to other people so that they can sell the video product as their own. So instead of selling to the end-user consumers, you are selling to other marketers that want to sell the product to their own customers.

      The advantage is - it's a little like the gold rush days when some people made money by selling the shovels and others tried to find the gold.

      You should also have less customer relations problems (your buyers should be more savy) and you can charge more per sale.
      I've run across a few people online who say this is their main or only business model.

        Thanks guys I am starting to get the picture. So there are a lot of people out there wanting plr products?

        Could I approach different plr sites to sell my product thereby catching different groups of people?

        I am not sure what to offer as an upsell back to my site yet but I am understanding the thinking behind it a bit better.

    Are you already selling the videos as a product? If you are, then UPsell the PLR rights to those that purchase the user rights.
