Monetize Email List Home Music Production Niche

I have spent some time building up a list of people who create music from their home in all genre's. I've been building this for several months and my list is now up to 963 subscribers.

I initially built the list with the goal of selling them my own products such as sample sound libraries, custom recording services, my ebooks on production techniques, etc.

I began by giving away free advice and sample sounds every few days, then attempting to make sales.

But the sales have been dismal. The few people who purchased my products loved them but I've been unable to make many conversions.

Next I went the clickbank route. I found the best selling home production software product on there and pushed that for a while but still my sales were dismal.

The only people making money here are aweber charging me $40/month.

Can anyone give me some suggestions on how else I can attempt to monetize this list before I cancel my aweber account?

I've worked in this niche, it's not very lucrative I'm afraid.

Most common programmes are iTunes affiliate (best converting), followed by Amazon (mainly leads to sales of other items).

    HOWEVER....

Because you say these people MAKE music, here's what I would do.

Sign up as an affiliate of AudioJungle: Become an Affiliate | AudioJungle

Now you will receive a commission of any authors sales, so once you're an affiliate send out an email to your list and encourage them to sell their products on the AudioJungle marketplace, tell them they're selling like crazy at the moment and artists are making thousands... The usual BS.

That will be the best way of making money with your list.

    Hope that helps,

It's not a niche I know anything at all about - but given that ... I'd suggest asking your list. Poll them, ask them what they're looking for.

They probably know better than you what they're looking for... ask 'em what problems they're facing.

    Just a thought...
