Just doing some keyword research and was wondering what the lowest amount of traffic other warriors would chase and by that I mean build a site around?
500,1000, 2000, 3000+ visitors a month? What is your cut off point? |

1000 would be a bare minimum for me...although, 2000+ is what I aim for as a minimum...

For me it depends. I have a few large content sites that promote various affiliate products and a few of my own products. For those sites I'll put up numerous pages that target even very low-hanging fruit, 10-20 searches a month. If I have 10 pages like that on a site, that's 100-200 more visitors a month. And if I do that across several websites, it can add up quickly.

1,000 is my cutoff.....The cool thing is when you add up your monthly hits for a keyword phrase and then realize that you are dominating it over the competition!

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and good with ketchup.

It depends. If I were an edge fund manager and could convert 1 in every 20 people(5%), 20 searches a month would be more than enough to sustain my business
![]() On the other hand, if you're selling $7 information products I wouldn't settle for anything less than 100k. Tyrus

"The business card - don't let that be your apprehension. Don't let not having the tools be your trepidation. These are the gift, the prize - you don't spend the money until you've made the money and then you only spend a percentage of it and you buy the best quality you can buy." - Joel Bauer.

For an expensive product ($500 plus) I'd chase traffic as small as a few hundred a month. Cheaper product? then I want much more traffic to make it worthwhile.
