Depends what your selling but as a general rule you will have to do this speaking to the person directly.

That's never been my experience. (I don't think we're talking about selling Lear jets here, are we?)

    1. Use a business model and a traffic generation-plan that doesn't require any financial outlay to speak of (there are many available - but you'll need a domain-name, some kind of hosting, and an autoresponder subscription: these are all really minimal expenses, though); and ...

    2. Make your high-ticket sales (as for all affiliate marketing, but even more so at higher prices) to people who respect and trust you ... in this case, typically because they've already bought lower-priced products/services on your recommendation and been very pleased with them.

Most of the long-term income, in successful affiliate marketing - and in a lot of direct "vendor-marketing", too - comes through making progressive sales (ideally at increasing prices) to the same target audience whose trust for you is also increasing each time they buy.

In internet marketing (and some other marketing, too), the higher prices are, the more true and significant it is that what actually makes the sales is trust-based relationships. And by the time you've built those with your prospective customers, you'll have some "budget", too.

Building relationships and helping others. If people dont know you or are not comfortable with you then it will be much more difficult to sell.

If you brand yourself as an authority and help others, they will see you can be trusted and you know what you are talking about. Just think about it. If someone comes over telling you they have the best business opp would you buy instantly? I dont think so...

But, if domeone comes over and helps you get things done and give the solutions to your problems, you will feel much more comfortable from joining that person.

I don't know about you, but I was, too, when I first started. Were you born knowing how to do all this stuff, then?

It's changed hands and is now attracting a whole new generation of completely inexperienced marketers (often apparently very misinformed by nonsense they've read elsewhere), while at the same time having lost a significant proportion of its "longer-established" members, and quite a lot of its traffic.

I think you know all this, really, Paul? Not much point in complaining about it?

  • Good heart Alexa and good advice. This is what we call sales
Funnel. You start it with traffic. The lifespan of a traffic to a high ticket customer is simple task which is why hard work setting up the funnel is a must.

You can provide free value or a solution to your traffic's problems which exchanges for your traffic's email.

At this point they become your leads. Even to get them to this point, basic tools like domain,
Hosting and autoresponder is necessary alongside the "solutions" or leadmagnet bribe to get them to subscribe.

The next part is to provide more step by step solutions whilst "recommending" the tools or products that will make them accomplish this goal.

It is the most ethical way to market where you can sleep at night and earn trust from your leads.

You continue to nurture these leads to become leaders in their online career and keep providing and recommending solutions with your mid upto high ticket tools and product to get them there.

Let me use a rock mountain climber as an illustration. If for example a newbie climber wants to conquer a local mountain summit and you are the guide, you must tell them the steps how to climb it.

As a guide let's say you have a store that provides boots and ropes etc. They rented your tools and hired you for coaching.

They loved their first experience. Buys more products from you as they became passionate. You kept in touch with them through newsletter and social media building relationship.

Few months later they want to go on a larger summit and asks for your help.

You offered them a new adventure package that is very high ticket and also includes you in the trip all paid for using all of your gears and travel cost.

They agreed because they love and trust you.

They conquered the mountain and had the time of their life and plans a new summit the next year asking you to be the guide again and your company.

The point is, high ticket is almost always sold at the back end and it is built upon trust of your brand with your customer.

That's a good analogy because, like IM, no one is ready to climb to the summit on their first day no matter how enthusiastic they are and how much they are willing to pay you.

But newbies come here every day and say "I have $2,000 to spend. How should I spend that to build a $10,000/month business"

The fastest way to sell high ticket offers is through relationship. Just build relation and get your subscribers to trust and like you. They will buy anything you ask them to buy. Relate with your subscribers as if they were your friends i.e. talk to them as you would your friends and send them the kind of emails you would send to your friends. This is the fastest way to build relationship. Once you do this, your list will like and trust you and buy from you no matter the cost of what you are you selling.

By the way if you are thinking of making money without money (investment), you are setting yourself up for failure. Free traffic strategies takes time to kick off and the average Joe doesn't have that time and doesn't have the skill and so they give up before they start getting result.

To me, the only people that make money fast with 'Free' traffic are those that have money to spend because they can easily outsource it and get result fast. Beside, they also have the time to implement and wait for it to really take off. It doesn't require too much money but almost all free traffic strategies will work faster and better if you spend money to implement them.

If you want to make the kind of money I think you are thinking of making, you had better plan on using paid traffic otherwise it will be a struggle for you.

If you use paid traffic, you can drive as much traffic as possible to your offer and by law of averages, you should turn out a good amount of sales even without much follow ups.

      Hey Dan,

One of the easiest ways to make money from high ticket products is to have your customers in the door and buying the product at a low price. There are many products online that will sell for $7 and then will sell the high ticket product for you on the back end.

That's not true at all. You really don't even need to talk to your prospects to make high ticket commissions.

I would personally do the following all in the video format..

1: Shoot 5-10 minute video providing value by giving audience a strategy / technique to help them get a result in your niche.

2: Mention a free video revealing exact system to get an even more extreme result.

3: Give access to this video and show them the end result they will get by taking action with your system and give them access at an extremely low price ($7-$17)

    4. Over deliver on the content when they buy and create a bonus training series in a member's area that is extra on top of the original training they bought. Use this bonus training series to upsell them on your back end "high ticket" item

Use the cashflow from the first few low ticket sales to create a quick members site where you can begin upselling your high ticket items and start making some real money!

      Arbitrage, sell other people's services.

I read a WSO about Alibaba Express and Craigslist, find deals on Alibaba and sell them on the latter. Listing a product on Craigstlist doesn't cost you anything right?

I also read a story from someone else, he used the Ebay affiliate program, found a motorcycle, advertised it at Youtube and the next day he sold it, granted he ripped a video but ok, he did make a $175 commision with very little effort.

You can also resell other people's services, there are quite a few decent designers on a site like Fiverr.com, where others charge $30-$70 for a simple banner at Fiverr they do it for $5,-, that's a market to exploit.

There are even low income country web developers that work 1 hour for $5 on your website where professional companies might charge $100+/hour for similar work.

Certain Fiverr services I hired didn't do any worse job then the so-called professionals, ok it can be a hit or miss some times but that's for you to test first so yeah you might have to invest in a few gigs first to know what you offer and maybe pay for a sales thread here or there but that's about it.

I literally started my business with 20 dollars here, and turned it into a 6 figure profit (not revenue) yearly business.

The first $10,000 (gross sale) that I ever made for FREE was through my blog. This sale netted me $5,000.

However, I did put in a lot of work writing articles ETC.

So it was free minus the hosting fees but not free in regards to my time.

Well, you are going to need something high-ticket to sell (whether it is yours or someone elses)

But what it comes down to is getting someone a call and pitching them.

Skype is free, and most computers have mics built into them.

When it comes to traffic, there's plenty of free sources, so that part is up to you

Always, Always, Always build a relationship first.

Start with a low ticket item, offer immense value of the front end, with excellent support and communication throughout.

Then once the trust had been build, offer the high tickets when ready. {Personally get on the phone/skype/fb messenger.

Human interaction is the key to high ticket sales.

    Best Of Luck.

    This is kinda funny honestly.

Let me put this in simple terms for you....

    YOU NEED A BUDGET.

Or you could alternatively go to networking events and hand out
hand made "business cards" or put up flyers everywhere.

Regardless, its SO much easier when you have a budget!
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[9667804].message }}

I understand how it feels to have no budget, so let me tell you how I have overcome this issue.

First things first, yes it will help if you had a budget, but it's not impossible without it.

When you have no budget, you have two great commodities, Time and Skill.

First is Time, you will have to invest a large amount time in order to start seeing results, nothing will happen over night.

The second is Skill, try and master a skill. So for example, if your trying to drive traffic to your offer (or affiliate offer) try and master one traffic method first. Whether it be videos marketing, forum marketing, posting in FB groups, whatever it is, master it completely until it become second nature to you.

Somebody's already mentioned that you have to get personal, talk to people and get them to like, trust and respect you. Only then will you start seeing the results you deserve.

And finally, if it is an affiliate product, make sure you KNOW it converts into sales. Do your research and just invest time and learn one skill to begin with.

    All The Best
