Is this still a good method to make money online? Has anybody tried this recently or is making a decent income from this method?

    Hi,

Do you mean selling your own solo ads?

Or buying solo ad packages to build your lists?

And of course make a profit from further down the line from your
    sales funnel?

If you mean the latter then it all comes down to 2 things:

    1. Presenting an irresistible offer that a large group of people
are actually wanting to buy and NEED.

    2. Having a well oiled and tested till it SCREAMS and begs for mercy
"Back End Sales Funnel" that converts as many leads into paying
    customers.

That is what will allow you to make a REAL BUYING decision on
    any traffic you purchase online.

    KNOW your numbers.

How much can you afford to spend on traffic?

    Is it $1 per lead?

Or is it $5 per lead?

Until then you won't know how much your business can afford to spend
    on traffic.

TESTING is key at the beginning of course and you'll have to be prepared
to take a loss starting off.

But once you know what works and gives you a STRONG R.O.I. then
that will put you in a strong position moving forward.

I'm talking about selling solo ads at a high price, and then using the money to buy cheaper solo ads, and then keeping the profit.

Let's say I'm selling solo ads (100 clicks for $50) on Facebook.
Someone buys, but I don't have a list, so then I find someone with a list that's selling solo ads (100 clicks for $40). I make a $10 profit.

This is a SMART way of doing it but you risk selling solo ads that you really don't know the quality. Unless you know the seller and the quality of their solo ads, you might be buying useless traffic and selling it to others which may in turn damage your reputation. To be successful as a broker, you need to build list of good sellers and build relationship with them. If they know you are selling on the traffic, some of them might offer you a rebate. Look for solo ads groups on Facebook. There's quite a lot of them.

If you are making a $10 profit and the person who bought from you also makes a profit, I don't see why not.

Ive tired brokering with solo ads before with little success. One of the reasons why is because the buyers like to ask several questions before buying, that only the solo ad providers would know. In example: size of your list, how many new subscribers, opt-in forms, etc. It would take a long time for the solo ad provider to answer these questions especially if you are trying to close a deal by skype or email.

I see. It seemed to me like brokering would be so easy to do but I haven't thought about this types of questions from buyers. I actually tried to do solo ads a few months ago, but not having any testimonials killed it for me.

You won't get many good reviews doing solo ad arbitrage.

I actually warn people to stay far away from solo ad brokers. They don't have any skin in the game since they are not selling their traffic.

The majority of brokers don't care one bit about who they buy traffic from. Note I said most and not all.

The traffic from the majority of brokers is extremely poor. Or starts out great and then goes south quick.

It's best to deal directly with the source of the traffic. That way they do have some skin in the game.

Solo ad broker is fine but you're doing it wrong.

You need to first buy solo ads yourself so you know who the good sellers are and who the bad solo sellers are. Then once you have a rolodex of good sellers where you know they have high quality traffic, you can become a broker then. Because now there is value in your service where you can almost guarantee high quality traffic. This will help other people skip the testing phase and just trust you with your resource.

    Hope that helps

Yep, it works. The hardest part is finding a good traffic provider for a good price.

But that part CAN be done. You just need to do some research and look for people with reviews and a reputation who still sell at a lower price point. Ideally, you should look for someone who mails to buyers, and has reviews of people getting multiple sales.

While traffic is the product, it isn't what buyers are looking for. They want sales, and if you can find someone who can deliver sales, you've done a good job and you'll get repeat buyers.

Like someone else mentioned, without reviews it can be tough to get started, so offer a few testimony prices and sell at the same price you're paying in exchange for reviews.

Don't be afraid to tell someone you're brokering a well known solo seller with a great reputation who mails to buyers. Even if you scare someone off, it's better than lying to the people you're wanting to help you out.

Sounds like a legit idea and can be done. However, it'll take a few months of testing various solo ad providers and figuring out which ones are the best for the buck.

You can test these on your own page, that way you know exactly what you're getting.
