My inbox is overflowing with free giveaway invitation to join as JV & as a member. I got pursued to join few of them and even ended up as being a paid JV/member, all for the sake of more and more optins...Subscribers. To my despair just few hundreds were able to make it to my list. Have you gone through this ? Don't you think so many giveaways has actually lost there worth due to repetitive gifts, lower conversion, lack of interest and excitement to some extent ? |

It is very strange that I get the same invitations from people who want me to sign up in the hope that I will want their gift and sign up to their list. Since they have sent me the invitation. I am already on their list, aren't I?

You might not like what I say - but I believe it. Build it, make money, then build some more Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

Hi AllSuccess, A few hundred sign-ups in any giveaway is pretty good... unless you base your "success" on the generic emails they all send out telling you "they'll be adding 5 000 to 10 000 subscribers in 7 days" LOL You got to pick and choose the giveaways you participate in, because yes, many have lost their lust... Reed Floren and Scott Drake put on good events! Cheers, Pete |

They want you to sign-up because they get points when you do and those points are used to rank their gift in the giveaway... the more people you refer, the higher your gift ranks! Cheers, Pete

I always thought that these giveaways were for adswap or something where the person whos' list I am in, sends me to his JV partners' squeeze page so that I opt in to the other persons' list too.. That way I end up in two different people's list.. Ofcourse the original person would get some $ per opt in to the other person's list.. I always thought it happens that way Quote:

It depends. What market? If you're talking about IM, people are tired of those crappy 20 page reports full of fluff. They don't want "ebooks", they want information. Quality information. I say focus more on the content you're offering, not so much on the format you're delivering the content. Tyrus |

I'm starting to see the same "free" ebooks on all these Giveaways. I do find one or two new ones from time to time. There is one (I don't remember which one) where I had to confirm and double opt-in 3 times (to 3 different people) before I could get in. |

I think alot of the free giveaways are not particularly useful products. They seem to me to be re-worked plr or older stuff. Its hard to get excited about ebooks like that. People seem much more hesitant to join lists for just any free download anymore.

That was great info from all of you. However according to my personal experience , recent giveaways has failed to achieve to there very purpose- getting more and more subscribers by offering high value products. Being said that it does not mean all of them lost there charm. There are few exceptions which really get to an edge. But most of the time my head is spinning and loose the sight of good giveaways. |

I had a similar problem myself when i used them and find them a waste of time - what annoys me most is the amount of emails you actually get back from the hosts of the events. Yesterday for example i had four messages in one day from an event i signed up to last year! kind regards sam X |

Giveaways are an excellent way to build your list whether you're the Site owner or JV partner, the problem is that most people taking part in giveaway don't take the time to create a solid product and just use the same old same old stuff and expects to get tons of subscribers...waste of time... Being successful in giveaways as a jv partner depend on: 1) Quality of your gift 2) Whether it is a close door or free for all giveaway Close door or exclusive limited partners that create a gift just for that giveaway then's to generate more subscribers for everyone involves. Free for all tends to attract less subscribers because most of the gifts are the same old stuff you see all over. I can continue talking about this but the post will be way too long... --David |

That was quite an input. Infact I would love to read more ! David, I would really appreciate if you could share what should be the main deciding factors for a person to join a giveaway both closed and free events.
