If you are brand spankin' new to affiliate marketing, look into creating a squeeze page and setting up an autoresponder

Interestingly enough, the starting point isn't necessarily affiliate marketing. You've got to have an audience to push those offers to (a high traffic site, several smaller sites, a twitter or youtube following to harness, etc...). That would be your starting point.

If you want to do affiliate marketing, you need to start a blog on your own domain. However, before you start a blog, you need to decide what niche market you want to work in. The niche you choose should be profitable and one that you know something about, so that you can more easily connect to your audience and what not. Taking a look at your hobbies is a good place to start. There's a very good chance that one or more of those is in a profitable niche.

For example, I was a Spanish major in college. The first site I created was in the "learn Spanish" niche. In other words, I put up reviews and wrote articles targeted to those who were looking to learn Spanish. After you figure out the niche you might want to go into, you look for some products to reviews, some topics you can write articles on, get a domain, hosting, install Wordpress and so on. It all depends on what method you want to stick to. There are many ways to promote an affiliate offer. Find one that suits you best, and then search for people who are teaching the same method you want to use.

Agree with doing some research on the different ways to do affiliate marketing and picking one to work at. It also depends on how much time and money you have to invest. You cannot go wrong reading through as many forum posts as possible to see some of the challenges and tips for the various approaches.

Get somebody to help you design a website & get a good domain name from godaddy. They have a special offer subscription for $12 a year right now. Add some good related articles and videos. Then go to fiveer and look up top rated sellers for backlinks & order the best one you can find. Add content 3-4 times a week & wait a few months to get your site in the search engines

If you want to invest money to be a successful businessman, you should buy a domain & hosting. Then try to increase traffic & page rank. finally you can put your affiliate link on it. you can also put your affiliate link on your social media page also.

I'm new to affiliate marketing as well.

This is what I did:

1) Payed someone to create a capture page and sales page on fiverr, cost me about $35 for both (with tip)
2) Purchased a domain and hosting for 1 year on GoDaddy for $45 I believe with coupon code.
3) Set up free one month trail of Email Marketing Software & Autoresponder from GetResponse.
4) I created a follow up email and 3 emails to follow a few days after.
5) Now I'm in the process in purchasing solo ads and posting a facebook ad to get leads.

Overall, your start up cost will be around $80 without paid traffic. I would count at least an extra $100 for that.

Either you will pay someone to done for you thinks and have results in .... 3-8 months depends on you, or you will do the hard way (alone) and wait for the results after .... maybe a year to find your right way to make profits.

There are many, many ways to go about it, but here are two pillar ones for newbies: you can go in as an affiliate, whereby you promote other people's products (and if you choose that route, I highly recommend Rosalind Gardner's 'The Super Affiliate Handbook'.)

Or, you can become a product creator yourself, and list on JVZoo easy peasy. Frankly, I recommend the latter, even if you're not the greatest writer. You can opt to have it outsourced, or else create audio, video, or software products. (For this model, I recommend Tiffany Lambert/aka Tiffany Dow's 'How to Launch a WSO on JVZoo'.) {NOTE - Neither of those were affilite links}

The difference is that in the first model, you spend dollars and time trying to attract people to find you; in the latter, they are eagerly seeking you out (and will continue to do so as long as you continue to provide quality products.)

You can go the way of video marketing as it has been effective for me and it is very inexpensive.

But the best way is to build your lista nd then promote good affiliate products that provides values to your niche audience.

Everything as pretty much as been discussed already but I would add that since you are new to affiliate marketing, don't dive into high competition market (not yet). You may be disapointed by lack of results.

Test the waters with low to medium competition first then in the long run you might apply strategies you have learned with low med competition to get higher search terms (but generally speaking higher competition too).

You are going to have to get the basics set up first , like auto responders , a squeeze page , sources of traffic etc etc . There are lots of articles and free advice on here to help you on your journey, good luck

So you are asking about affiliate marketing huh, okay I'll give you some short summary:

Affiliate marketing can be performed in two ways:

1) You PROMOTE other's products
- you can sign up for affiliate networks - clickbank (digital products) or amazon (physical products)
- you can setup a review sites for the product that you like to promote - make sure that you know the product/niche pretty well before you promote it
- drive traffics to your websites

2) You Create your own product
- pick your niche or any filed that you can create product in, let say you know how to knit, then create a simple how to knit guide or best ways to knit, knit as fast as possible etc..
- get the product listed on Clickbank
- promote your product alongside getting affiliates to promote your product.
- right know clickbank create a platform to help users to sell their digital products, it is called Clickbank University... why don't you give it a try?

By giving traffics to your sale/affiliate page. This can be done by two major ways:

1) Paid Traffic
- basically you pay advertising agencies to show your sales page
- eg. google adwords, facebook advertising, bing ads etc
- PRO : easy to create, fast result, short term investment
- CON : will cause a you a lot if you don't know how to tweak and split testing

2) Organic Traffics
- basically this type of traffic is from search engine such as google, yahoo and bing
- involve with SEO, which need to get your website to rank relatively high in search results
- PRO : maybe cost less, long run investment
- CONS : take way too long to see result, almost impossible to rank for very high competitive keywords

Any Ways To do this without websites:

1) you can setup a youtube channel, promoting your product or affiliate products, I have seen some warriors in this forum get results from it.

2) create a facebook page promoting interesting news around your niche.. let say you pick a weight loss niche.. you can create a simple page on weight loss or diet, post useful information that you get from the web, and build your relationship the the page followers.

Join a forum. For example if you want to promote video game affiliate offers, places like newgrounds are a good place to active. Answer questions. Become the expert and link out in your signature to an autoresponder or blog that you operate.

Forums can bring seo traffic as well. How many times have you searched something and one of your favorite forums showed up?

There are free lead capture pages out there.Thats a plus,and having an auto responder tied in with it is a must.Also I use facebook to post stuff on my time line,and it works pretty good for someone whos on a budget Also craigs list works too.

The more you have traffic, you will success in your sector more. I'd look into building an email list and marketing to that email list right away, this would include picking a niche, setting up a sales funnel and driving traffic to that sales funnel. This is just a simple way of looking at it, there's a lot more back bone to it.

There are many other ways to promote affiliate offers, a simple google search can get you going.

Just advice, do what you want to.

When you first log into ClickBank, on the upper right menu, click "Knowledge Base".

In the center column, "Affiliates" there is wealth of information on getting started as a ClickBank Affiliate.

It is very good training, and it's free.

If you need training after that, you could look into some of the other programs such as "ClickBank University" or others.

I personally have not purchased any training for ClickBank.

but in general it is simple proces and don't complicate too much...


1.) Pick/generate a hot converting offer

2.) Stick with that offer until you make it successful. (Don't give up... )

3.) Drive traffic (blog, videomarketing, paid traffic....) to a squeeze page and build your list.

4.) Build relationship with that list, market to it, share helpful tips and focus on 80% value 20% promotions.

5.) Take profits, reinvest, scale up

You can master process or outsource anything (copywriting, webinars, technical stuff) you hate doing along the way. I also suggest you mentor. It will be easier, faster and cheaper...

Don't set your sites too high to begin with. Some people approach affiliate marketing with the idea they will be earning gazillions in not time flat. Frankly it doesn't work like that.

Think too big and you'll quickly get discouraged when the results you expected don't pay off. My advice is to start small, find something that works, and then gradually scale it up. Starting a blog is ideal because the initial outlay is small and you can earn as you learn.

That's what the majority of successful marketers here did when they started out. It's the most solid route to success.

LinkedIn.com has several helpful affiliate Groups.

1. Create a simple blog with blogger and keep posting into it consistently.
2. Learn how to make and upload simple videos on youtube and do it on a regular basis.
3. Be active in forums like these.
4. Join as many facebook groups as possible and keep posting to them.
5. Join Google plus communities, make a Twitter account and be active there.
6. Keep doing your research and search for tools available on the internet. Believe there are many great tools out there!
Repeat all of these. Never give up. There sure will be many distractions but ultimately you will reach your goal.
