I see you around WF a lot and you have the writing chops and the enthusiasm required to succeed. I'd guess also the tenacity. Can you make $3K a month from a handful of niche sites within 12 months? Sure. That and then some. But a niche site is just one possible way to generate an income. To be honest, it's not even the easiest way. Most people throwing up niche sites will make peanuts and quit. Sad fact. If they just kept things simple when they start out, the results might be a lot better. The general method is pretty simple.Which product are you going to promote (after doing your research?). Where does the target market hang out? How can you tap that market and either build a list or send direct to a lander? A hundred bucks a day is pretty easy if you stick to answering those simple questions. When you see newcomers setting up niche sites, paying for content and SEO and whatnot, spending months making something look wonderful, I feel like jumping on a plane, knocking on the door, deleting the freaking site and just getting them making a hundred bucks with something simple. I'm rambling (actually in vdeo conference here, but mostly listening). Essentially - a niche site is designed to offer information to the market. BUT - to get your butt making money pronto, you need to think about hurling the right traffic at offers intended to make you money.

If you like, I may be able to expand after I finish listening to someone tell me why it's going to take them 3 months to design a simple software app for me. Shoot me.

It sounds like you're on the right track because at least you know that you want to use niche sites as your vehicle. Many people come on here and just ask "how can I make money online now" (and that's perfectly fine because that's what this forum is all about).. but I'm just acknowledging the fact that you have a head start

As far as a timeline for success with a $3000 / month income, that's really hard to gauge because there are so many variables.. will you be able to pull it off? Absolutely! How long will it take exactly? that's difficult to say.

Although I can't really give you an exact timeline for how long it will take to hit your first goal of $3000 / month, I can give you one piece of advice. Pick one niche website and pound away at building it the right way and stay focused on this one site until it starts gaining traction.

Don't start with 3-5 sites trying to chip away at each one every single day because it will burn you out. The results won't come and you'll be tired of putting in so much effort with no return. If you focus on one site and pound away at it, you can start getting your small results at a faster pace and once you start getting results, it becomes addicting and you'll have no choice but to build your next sites and scale it to OVER $3000 / month

That was my original motivation for starting in IM, too.

I seem to be destined to tell you, in several of the threads you start, that it isn't the websites that bring the income, in affiliate marketing: it's the trust-based relationships with subscribers.

Apologies if you're tiring of hearing it.

You could have ten websites monetized by affiliate marketing without ever earning that at all (and there are people right here, in this forum, who do).

Or you could have one website monetized by list-building and email marketing which easily brings much more than that on its own (and many do that, too).

The difference between the two approaches is our old friend, ubiquitous throughout internet marketing - the difference between a quantitative approach and a qualitative one.

I have, and many others here have, too.

When I first started, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing at all and did just everything wrong that you can do wrong, and then some, so I earned nothing for 3 months and very little in my 4th month too, for all these reasons.

Then in my 5th month I made just over $3,000 and in my sixth just over $3,500. I didn't know at the time that that would turn out to be secure, gradually increasing monthly income, but it did turn out to be exactly that, because I'd learned by then that it isn't really the websites that produce the income.

I know you'd like to believe that "blogs bring bucks", but I'm afraid that doesn't make it true. Blogging is not in itself a paid activity.

And - with respect - being the "king of keywords" may also not help you very much, either, because search-engine traffic is just about the worst kind there is to to monetize, for affiliate marketing, for the reasons explained here.

I don't mean to be nearly as critical as I perhaps sound: I'm hoping (in the belief that you're currently misdirecting yourself) to prompt you to realize what actually produces the income.

I suggest focusing on one niche until you hit at least $3k per month.

I hit mid four figures with affiliate marketing not long after I focused on one niche for six months.

To this day I operate in four niches only and may add a fifth in 2015.

By focusing in one niche you can really set it up properly, whether it's content, email newsletter, traffic sources, on-site conversions... The whole shebang. You'll also be able to really find out the best monetization options with testing.

It takes time to get an info niche biz going without any existing assets to leverage (such as an existing complementary niche).

If you find proper method and focus one method, maybe you need 6 months to achieve income $3,000/mo.

i would recommend getting in touch with jeff lenney fast, he is an seo expert working for a seo company. he is uploading videos about how that can be accomplished and he is also a really nice guy you can ask questions on facebook...

Nowadays it is no longer an issue to earn this 3000 to 4000 USD per month. There are many people are earning this amount in various ways. One earning from the affiliate programing, One are earning from adsense. It depends which subject you are expert. If your site content is good without plagiarism, having with good page rank, your traffic will good. Thanks.

Hi, I'd like to add my two cents here I have tried different ways of making money online for the last few years. I am only now beginning to see some consistent, decent returns. Part of that is because I did it the hard way, learning everything by myself, and trying too many new things without being consistent/persistent with any of them.

I had too many websites in the beginning, spreading myself too thin, and had to drop almost all the sites. Sadly my niche choices were also not that profitable. I would agree, that while it is very possible to make good money with affiliate marketing, it is not the fastest or easiest way to make money online.

I now have one site in the IM niche that is bringing in a consistent, though still somewhat small, daily income for approx. the last year.

What I'd really like to say, is that I've been looking around for ways, other than affiliate marketing, to make money online. I decided to try something new, recently, that I really wasn't too sure about - and so far, it is working out really well. It's a way to earn without having to sell anything, and without needing to build & rank a website, which really saves a lot of time and frustration. I see it as a long term deal, definitely not as a make money quick scheme. However, I am seeing decent returns already and it grows a bit every day

I would suggest picking a niche sticking with it and building a list with it.

Dominating one niche is hard enough let alone four... start small, test the waters and find out what works in one niche. Then the next niche you target will be easier than the first and it snowballs from there. GRANTED I'm not saying approach all niches the same way... but there are certainly some aspects you can use that will speed things up after you've knocked your first one out the park!

We obviously don't start with $3,000 per month... we start by trying to hit $10 a day, (roughly $300pm) and if you can reach that, another 10x that amount seems reachable!

Yeah, just like what pretty much everybody else is saying....It all depends on how much work you put in & the content that you provide. Monetizing is very very important. Also, the relationships are key. I find that nowadays, people are combining the social media marketing with the internet marketing to build the relationships with people. Facebook is huge for that. So try doing that...

You have 50% of what you need already - you have a desire to be successful and work from home. Now you need a method based on unique idea which brings another 50%. Go against the flow. You don't need to reinvent the wheel but in my opinion it's better when it's fresh and unique.

My friend start making $3000 per month in six months but he spend about $1000 in the first 3 months for buying solos. My opinion is to at act quick.

Yeah. Will probably look into advertising once I get the ball rolling a little bit. Took out the clickbank sites but hope to still do good with adsense and amazon
