Hi warriors!
I have a wordpress site which is 5 years old. It has PR2. I use it as a site, rather than a blog although I update it regularly.
Now I am going to start a blog in a topic related to the topic of my site.
At the beginning I thought of putting it in another domain but the other day I read you can have 2 wordpress into 1 domain.
In terms of SEO I think it would be better to put the blog into my established site, rather than a new domain,
The downside is that the URL will be longer.
What do you think I should do?
Thanks everyone for your help!!!

    I dont understand this point

If you are updating your current blog regular, and the topic of the new one is similar to that of your currant one why not just build the currant one up in to an authority site.

This way your saving on domain renewals, hosting costs and of course the hard grunt of getting the new one off the ground (lets face it, this takes time). Not only that but you then have the added problem of splitting your time over two projects rather than just one.

    I have a domain which

    I run my blog
    Girl friend runs her blog
Kids are starting to have a gaming blog on

This has resulted in over 1600 indexed pages in google.. They are just in different folders

    mysite.com - my blog
    mystie.com/girlfriends name
    mysite.com/kids name

So if the topic is slightly different why not just bang it in a sub folder or something...?

      Yeah, it makes sense!
I like the idea of making my site an Authority Site. I had not looked a it this way....
Thank you very much for your input!!!

Any other ideas, suggestions, advice... will be greatly appreciated, warriors!

I wouldn't see much of a problem installing wordpress on yoursite.com/blog. You would just provide a link somewhere on the homepage to pass the link juice on to the blog.
