Try out work at home for a week, advice please

I am going to take a week off from my dreaded job and go to a library for the entire time, say 10am-8pm, with two 30 minute breaks. Just as I would working a regular job. I will do this for six days. My purpose is to see if working at home is something that'll work for me. I am ready to start making a living for myself online. My question is do you guys think this is a good idea? If so I have a clickbank account and an amazon account, my websites are currently being designed by fiverr gigs. In the meantime what can I do for a week with amazon and clickbank having no website? Any other money making avenues for beginners?

What I recommend is making a product review and then ranking it on Youtube. This means that when you put your affiliate link in the description of the video, people can click on it and buy it meaning you'll get paid a commission for it.

    OP....
The library is not a bad idea but...
Unless you are going to rent space you will be working from a room or space in your home?
That brings it's own challenges and distractions so i would say this, try working from home
and see how you handle it...

Motivating yourself to work a solid 10 hours at home is one of the obstacles and an area where a lot of would be internet millionaires fall short...

I always get distracted trying to even begin to work at home. No kids but I have the tv and of course the internet so thats why I figure I try the library for discipline purposes. No? Advice greatly appreciated.

It can be hard working from home depending on how easily you get distracted. Here are some things I've personally done:

    - Start small and gradually build it up
    - Set a time slot for your work (whether that be 3 hours on then 10 minute break, 3 hours back on)
    - Let everyone in your home know that when you're working you don't want to be disturbed
    - Some people even get a sign on the door that says do not disturb (I don't)

    Hope this helps bro!

Maybe try clickbank or jvzoo products and use FB ads. I know someone on fiverr charges $5 for a $50 FB coupon. Give that a try.

As has been said, if you will be working at home, ditch the library and try it for real. Then you'll see what real distractions there are.

In my opinion, having made my company from home, you need a few years of funds in the bank to support yourself before you should even attempt it. Of course it is possible.

Three years of 80 hours a week is what it took me to make a basic living.

Can you commit that amount of time?

Assuming you have an interest/passion in making money amazon & clcikbank, I would focus on 1 of them for now.

Get a membership to the war room here and/or buy a well reviewed wso on your chosen topic.

Focus on following that wso for the week.

      Document your progress and results

Hopefully you make money from your endeavors.

Next, take your efforts and create a product. Release it on the warrior forum. Make sure it's a quality product documenting all of your steps and what you learned in the process of following the wso.

This way, it's based on you taking action. You actually followed instructions and you're sharing the results.

This is valuable to many warriors, especially newbies. There are so many wsos that are just reshuffled plr.

You can build a good reputation here by "walking the talk"

You seem like you are just starting out. Much too soon to be talking about quitting your job.

Personally, I find the main problem about working from home is switching off. If I am not careful, I work all the time. If you really think that you would rather watch TV, then this is not a job for you.

I had to sit the family down a few weeks back to fix some things up that were making my work-from-home not quite the dream I'd hoped. Things like: 1/ wife gets asked to do an extra shift at her work, says yes, on the assumption that i can easily shift my work schedule to look after the kids 2/ 19 year-old daughter thinks it's OK to lounge around the house playing loud music during the day when i'm trying to work 3/ friends and relatives think it's OK to just drop round anytime during the day now that i;m home, to have a cup of coffee and a chat. Consequently i find myself working long hours late at night after everyone has gone to bed. Anyway, there's a plan in place to fix it.

    Hey OP,
If your website is ready and you want to send traffic then you need to see if your website and landing page convert well or no. You need time, money to test and optimize your pages and ads.

If you don't want to go with those problem then I recommend to go to some survey sites and get paid to take some surveys in your free times.

    Good Luck

Start learning some of the basics of each. Don't try to "take action" until you understand them clearly. (It will probably take more than a week.) This post may help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post9671282

And here are "the basics of each" (these threads should help, but appreciate that each is a long learning-curve of its own, and not typically helped by "trying to take quick action without understanding the fundamentals). Specifically, don't imagine that with either ClickBank or Amazon that it's essentially the website itself that produces the income. It isn't. (Yes, you need to have one, but that still isn't what actually produces the income: the income is produced from the relationships you build with people who trust you enough to rely on the strength of your recommendations to buy things.)

    ClickBank: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

    Amazon: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6608638

    Good luck!

Before you do anything, make sure you start to work on yourself. Start reading motivational books and listen to audios.

I would recommend that you get started with this book:

Think And Grow Rich By Napoleon Hill

Don't try to put the carriage in front of the horse. You need to work on yourself FIRST before you do anything.

What websites are you having designed? If they are built to make money, then I'd consider spending those 10 hours a day doing preliminary work to launch those sites.

For example: start building a profile for yourself in the niche's community -- work your butt off on forums, Twitter, Facebook. Or knock out a quick PDF, host it on a site like LeadPages, and drive traffic to a new list (to which you can later broadcast your new websites).

This will should get you earning in those 6 days:

    1. Make Keyword Videos
    2. Rank them on YT & Google
    3. Drive traffic to your CB lander.

That's a general model and I've simplified it. It's a simple method, though, requiring only a little research, and you should see a return in your week off work.

Is working at home right for you? No idea. But what I do know is this: you need to try and earn some money fast. You need to believe not only in yourself but in the possibility that working online is viable. There is no better way to achieve both of these things than seeing a monetary return on your investment of time.

Working at the library and working at home are two different things. You need to try your experiment in your home environment. You might find things that need to be adjusted.

It sounds like you're just starting out, so I would spend the week reading as many forum posts here, and elsewhere, as well as IM blogs to get a good understanding of the basics, and what's working now going into 2015. Trying to make money from home is not an easy task, despite what any headline tells you. Here are blogs I like:

    The Advanced Guide To SEO

SEO Training and Link Building Strategies – Backlinko

Money Mindset: Internet Marketing Done Right (has some free info on clickbank methods)

Award Winning Internet Marketing Blog - Matthew Woodward

Google "clickbank methods" for more results on other forums.

    Best wishes!

Thank you all for the advice. I realize that this wasn't such a good idea. I need to work and make money. I cant afford to take a week off. I do better with researching internet marketing in my spare time. I have already started by using free tutorials on Youtube and searching this forum for information. Its good stuff here and other places too but I am so overwhelmed I am getting headaches. But this doesn't stop me because now I know this is where I want to be, I want this so bad and I am going to pray for patience, knowledge and embrace trail and error. Thank-you all again.

Most of this thread is focused on the physical environment of your work.

Can I just make an observation? That focus is misplaced.

There are much more important issues when just starting out in a business.

The first issue at hand is to find a market where there is demand for products and services. You've said nothing about that. You're having web sites designed on Fiverr . . . but have you done any research at all to see where you might best sell products and/or services?

You see, you're starting out like most newbies without a clue about what you're going to sell and why it will sell (other than maybe what you've heard from others).

If you want to spend a week in the library that's fine. But spend your time focusing upon finding an audience that has a critical need or desire. Figure out exactly what they want and how you might provide it for them.

To start from any other position is to be guessing at what is going to sell and you stand little chance of being successful doing that.

    Good luck,

    Steve

Exactly. I found this out by reading through this forum and looking at tutorials. I just wasted money and time on fiverr. Thank-you sir.

Just focus on clickbank and try to find thread that talks about video marketing, create videos, rank the videos for specific keyword and you can start making money online without even have to have website
