Where Are You Sharing Your Blog Posts?

Besides the obvious sites like FB, Google +, Twitter, Reddit, etc. where are some places you are sharing your blog posts to and getting some decent traffic?

Social bookmarking sites like Digg are a great place if your articles are worth while.

    Slideshare.

    sounds pretty lame right?

It's actually responsible for a ton of blog traffic to many marketers' blogs. They take the articles their writing, paste them into a word doc and upload them to a slideshare account to land in the top google rankings. Google loves slideshare because it recognizes the posts as an authority site.

Not saying it's completely white hat, but you can play around with the idea

After posting the blog posts on your side you could post on article directories...

I think most of the blog owners are using those sites, which you have mentioned above. I mostly use FB and reddit for sharing my blog posts.

Actually most of the time I use the facebook to share my blog. Beside this I use the twitter & google + also. Though there are some more social media sites available, but I do not use them most of the time. Thanks

To me, those places are far from "obvious" and I don't use any of them at all.

I don't think they'd have any real value for my business.

I share my blog posts as widely as possible in places that already have the specific, pre-targeted traffic I want to attract to my sites.

My rule of thumb, for my business, is that anywhere I can "just submit stuff myself" and have it published with no editorial approval, no vetting process, no quality control (and where anyone else can do the same) isn't going to benefit me. I need selectivity, quality, relevance and targeting, otherwise it isn't worth my time.

This post explains where I share my blog posts.

    This post explains why.

And this one explains how I ask people to re-publish them.

(The whole process is called "article marketing": you publish the posts/articles on your own site first, and then after that get them re-published in as many specifically relevant, targeted places as possible. Just like the world's leading news and sports websites, targeted subscriber ezines, and many magazines and newspapers do. It can produce floods of highly targeted, responsive, buying traffic. But it's a real "relationship-building" business, not a "post-your-links-all-over-the-place" business. )

I've been doing something slightly different (but it will help get you eyeballs).

(or at least, decent traffic, as you refer to it as)

    Anywho.

I've been sharing my blog on other sites, by the process of writing for them of course.

Sometimes they'll approve you, and sometimes the won't.

But with enough persistence, you'll eventually strike gold (traffic wise).
