Acquiring good software that automate things requires money.
Outsourcing work requires money. Sometimes much money.

In the end, or you pay for something, or it will cost you time. In your computer, of course, like almost everything related to IM.

You could also pay someone to set up an entire business for you, but that's not something accessible for the 99,9% of people here, IMO.

If someone's saving time, he's probably doing something more important. Having said that take stuff you hear from so called 'gurus" with a grain of salt. A lot of people make tall claims just to make themselves appear big and trick you into buying products.

Also, not every part of a business process can be outsourced. I personally never outsource stuff related to core areas of my business and that takes up most of my time. I don't always have time for peripheral processes and I outsource them.

    Spend hours on their computer?

We're you expecting them to be watching TV more often instead?

Different strokes for different folks, of course

Smart business owners find the best ways to get things done, the fastest, most affordable and reliable solutions. This normally comes with trial and error.

Yes, established business owners employ others to fill roles in their businesses so that they can focus on growing their business.

They spend hours running their business, this done not mean they have to be doing everything by themselves

Working on product and marketing activities related for making money is what IM do regularly.

I would say that I also take some time to be away from computer each day. The purpose is to relax my eyes and refreshing. Then go back to the 'office' again.

But I think that it is normal for IM to spend the time in front of computer. In fact, it is the gateway to the world and of course, income!

The smaller your business, the more time you need to devote to work. The bigger your business, the more time you need to devote to work. Solution: rest when you sleep.

It puzzles me how you think automating everything is going to make you successful. better than half the trick with social media is sharing something before your followers hears it anywhere else. You obviously don't use twitter AT ALL.

Some do outsource their post writing you are correct. I personally do not do this. Every word on any of my sites is my words. my voice. my thoughts. I cant afford to pay someone with my experience to write for me.

You read that folks are putting in 60 hours 80 hours I put in 100 hours a week. I don't have one failing website, I have more than a few successful ones.

You are looking at this with your own personal experience as a reference, and not considering that many people simply do a lot more than you. And more than likely MAKE more than you.

    IMO
When starting something new you should learn it well and spend the time, then develop a system to optimize it (this could be outsourcing, tools, etc)
Then move on to the next new thing

For me, I spent the time as I am always working on new stuff
