VPS with remote desktop plus IP address for certain city

I am new to this forum so not sure if this is the correct area to ask this question but need help/advice. I have created a company that is to be located in Chicago. The company is not real but is used as a cloak, in a way, for some methods I am trying out. Main thing is I don't live in Chicago. When I go online acting as the company and post to certain places and perform certain activities I want to appear as though I am coming from the company headquarters in Chicago. Meaning if I post to some website as the company I want my IP address to say I am in Chicago, perhaps near the address I have created for this fake company. The method is a bit gray hat and the company has to look legit. I was thinking I need a VPN of some kind that has a server in Chicago. I also was thinking I would need some kind of VPS with remote desktop because eventually I plan to outsource all the activities online associated with the company but really not sure how to work it with an IP address pointing to a Chicago site. I am new in this particular area. Any recommendations or advice on how to appear like I am in Chicago with proper Chicago IP address while browsing/logging in to certain sites while acting as the company? I was thinking have a VPS with remote desktop so I or my outsourcer can login to the VPS where all files/projects associated with the company can be stored. Then perhaps install a VPN within the VPS that has an ip address pointing to Chicago. The main thing I am concerned about with the VPN is whether I choose a VPN server that has a static ip address or a shared or dynamic ip address. I know dynamic is safer but ip address will change. I am afraid the websites I login to and perform activities will question the ip address that changes from time to time but still shows in Chicago. Does it really matter as long as it says I am in Chicago still or does the IP address have to be static for congruency? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
