Default Building The WRONG LIST!

Hey everyone,

I have a list building secret.
It's a really simple strategy.

So simple in fact, that if I didn't already know it, it would probably one of those moments of realization where I would smack myself upside the head and say "DUH!"

Here it is.... "Build A List of people who have lists..."

List building is one of the most important things we can do as marketers.

Having a list gets us JV's....

So build a list of the people who already have lists, and cater to them first.

*Another exercise in 'starting with the end in mind.*

Warmest Regards,
Marcus

Hmmmm, interesting Marcus, and something I hadn't thought of before. It's a great idea though but how do you target those who have lists to join yours?

Sheryl,
Nice to see you again. It's been quite a while, I was wondering where you had gotten off to.

How do you target them?

Find people in 'complementing' but not 'competing' niches by 'searching' keywords, and looking for sites with opt in boxes on them.

Join their lists, start correspondence with them. Get to know the site owners and figure out what would most benefit their lists. Then give it to them, with back links to your own opt in page or website, built into the report, or book, or whatever you give them.

Warmest Regards,
Marcus

Hey Marcus - yeah I'm still hanging around

This sounds like a good plan and I know a few in my niche that I could use this with - thanks for sharing.
