Can fellow warriors comment on viral list building techniques as proclaimed by the website:

viral-list<dot>com

This sounds like the chain mail schemes in the physical world. Anybody have any experience with something like this?

  Viral list building is all about getting your product to as many people as possible at the start.
  
  Make sure it has giveaway or resell rights, stated on the very first page of the ebook, and on the 'sales' page too.
  
  It's also good to ensure that the book is entertaining, and most importantly, has a catchy title.
  
  Nobody is going to download 'affiliate marketing tips 101', they've seen it all a million times. People want to be entertained nowadays, we all have shorter attention spans
  
  So I'd suggest making a Warrior Special Offer (WSO), make it free and make sure you say that it comes with giveaway rights. You should get a few hundred downloads just from that.
  
  Put your offer up on giveaway sites too, and pound them with value. That's the only way to grab the attention of people seeking freebies.

I think one thing that may be interesting is to offer your customer an additional bonus after they've purchased from you if they refer your product to 5 friends, perhaps on the thankyou page.

When doing viral list building it's important to offer some kind of incentive to promote the product such as re-branding rights or a way for them to earn commissions...

You need lots of exposure for it to 'catch on'
Put it on your download page when someone signs up for your list and make it obvious why it's worth it to promote your product.

Also use social media such as twitter to increase exposure
