SPAM Problem with Self Hosted Affiliate Program

I have a self hosted affiliate program on one of my sites, so affiliate links are all in my domain with affiliate code after them. My problem is every once in a while I get s spam complaint from my hosting provider accusing me of spam because one of my affiliates spammed their affiliate link.

The email in question is from a completely different server, but just because they included my link I get hit with a spam complaint. There is nothing I can do about that.

How do sites like Clickbank who I am sure have people spamming their links everyday not get in trouble for this exact same thing?

This has never happened to me, but I understand it is not that uncommon.

Apparently some anti-spam service that your web host is using has identified the sender as a spammer, and is alerting your web host when your domain's URL appears in the sender's email.

Personally, I would just inform the hosting company that YOU did not send the email, and that YOU cannot be held accountable for emails that are sent by 3rd parties (whether or not they contain URLs to your domain).

I don't know how CB handles this situation, but...
does your web host give you enough detail to allow you to determine which affiliate is spamming?
    Have you contacted said affiliate?
Does your affiliate management software have the ability to BAN said affiliate?

They can and WILL hold you liable for what a 3rd party does. Let them know you have a problem affiliate and that you are taking steps to identify and remove this party.
Then try to figure out who did it. Chances are they will give the URL the affiliate was using and what will clue you into the violator.
You have then satisfied the provider by letting them know you are aware of the problem and that you are pro-actively attending to it.
You also now know you have a problem affiliate in your mix. Find em, ban em.

I get spam all the time that has affiliate links. Sadly it seems to be a popular trend.
