Default I would never have moved to Firefox 3.5 if I'd known

Hi everyone,

I updated a few days ago to Firefox 3.5 only to discover that a number of the addons don't work. In truth most of them were not an issue but the failure of one is a big lose.

Being in the UK I need to be able to view google worldwide - not easy as Google force me back to the UK if I try to search in the states. So I have been using Google global addon pretty extensively. But it does not work with the latest version V3.5.

So if you have any addons that you simply can't do without stay will V3.11 until things get sorted.

If anyone knows of a google global type application for V5 I would be forever grateful

Hi Steve,

I'm not on 3.5 yet but have you applied the GG 2.04 bugfix?

It's in the Mozilla sandbox so I'm guessing it would need to be applied manually.

Google Global Version 2.0.4 Bugfix

Regards,

Hi Steve,

The team of Mozilla have told that the 3.5 was not recommended

Just used the latest release not the BETA.

Regards

Thanks guys,

I'll try the bug fix as I have the latest release which I believe is not a beta.

Update: Having installed the update you suggested xiaophil Google global is now working fine.

Thanks again for your help.

Good to hear your problem is fixed.

Firefox 3.5, Wordpress 2.8 .... the list goes on. The learning for Internet Marketers who depend upon their systems to run their businesses is to upgrade late, not early.

I upgrade my systems when there is an urgent security issue as I am running a risk. If there is no security risk I let everyone else who upgrades quickly test the latest release on my behalf... and then apply the bug fix later.

I'm having a problem with Google Global as well.

I only downloaded it after reading this thread and it appears that Firefox doesn't recognize that it even exists.

When I right click on a Google results page I don't have the option to use Google Global

I switched too, and wish I hadn't! Nothing major for me, but I do miss the ability to use my right-hand button to click & copy or past.

Portable version of 3.5.
No install, no hazzle. Just unpack and run it.
I have both 3.0.11 and 3.5 on my computer.
I don't run them both at once.

You aren't the only one who regrets upgrading.

I just got my laptop back from being repaired and started updating everything. Sure wish I hadn't done FF though, I miss my tools!
