You could post your experiences here on WF. Link back to your blog in your profile and build a following on this forum. Or you could build an audience on youtube, releasing a video every week on your experiences can be very beneficial.

Of course the Social media is good to increase your blog traffic, beside this you can do SEO, back link, forum posting, blog commenting & so on. These are the best way to increase your blog traffic. There is no alternative way expect the SEO. To earn money you must increase your targeted traffic. thanks a lot.

Since your blog is about your success in internet marketing (such as how you got from point A to B), then your natural audience would be other internet marketers. You should get a fair amount of traffic from business and internet marketing forums as people click through on your signature line to see how you did it.

First, use Google keyword planner and choose the most relevant keyword that has lowest competition (preferrably long tail keywords). Google the chosen keyword and see other suggestions by google. Use these keywords naturally in the content and add the main keyword in the title. Then share this blog with your friends on social networking sites and request them to share it with their circles. Tweet a dozen times on topics related to your blog post and interact with people who are tweeting using keywords that you chose (#tag). Find communities on G+ and Linkedin and share the post. Keep in mind that the title or the post sounds really appealing..add some tadka (spice) to it. This should generate decent visitors.

Building a blog from scratch is all about trust. Try to write long information rich articles that validates the depth of your knowledge on that topic. Don't hurry to increase the post count because it has nothing to do with quantity. Take your time, write the articles and then-

Become a real person- go to other blogs on your niche, read their posts carefully and leave a thoughtful comment that stands out from other "thank you" comments. Make sure that you have a photo of your face on your gravatar account.
Backlinks-search for other blogs that have a similar article on the same topic, check their backlinks on a backlink checker tool and look who are linking to them. Go to the linking sites and let them know you have a similar article on that topic. Ask them to link to your article if they find it useful..
Guest post- make realtionships with other bloggers and regularly interact with them on different places like -their own blog, their twitter and facebook accounts and forums. most people will become online friends. then ask them if you can get a guest posting opportunity on their blog.

Do these things for a considerable amount of time.

If you want to get some inspiration on how to drive traffic to a new blog, read the story on Matthew Woodward's blog. There you'll find a lot of great tips.

What it comes down too is:
-> Determine what questions people have
-> Solve those questions by creating very high quality content
-> Go to places where people ask these questions and redirect them to your blog

If you ca do this in a non-spammy way then you'll see your traffic go up in a massive way, because you leverage sites that already have a lot of traffic (forums and blogs for instance).

You need to follow many people in social media and get real followers who can visit your links and result in more traffic from real users. Fake traffic purchased is of no use.

If your talking about a blog, one why to kick start it is with commenting on other blogs. At the very least, it should get comments on your own blog, even if it's from other bloggers. As we know a blog with no comments doesn't look good.

Plus, if you comment on blogs that use something like commentLuv, and you use compelling blog titles, could bring in more traffic, and backlinks. Don't know if those backlinks have much value these days, but you could of course do it for the traffic. It takes time, but it does bring in traffic if done correctly.

Well, you probably already know all this. Just some thoughts.

Well by reading your post I can see you are a lot newer than me. This is not the way to get traffic by posting affiliate links to traffic sources that do not work. I have personally tried blast4traffic and never once even received a single click.

I've gotten a lot of traffic from blog commenting. I really love reading blogs and commenting on what is being said. Just be sure to comment only on blogs that allow you to leave your website plus comment only on blogs that have a fair amount of comments.If people like what you've said, they will check out your website.

Hi everyone,

my personal advice to every newbie is to learn SEO. If you use Wordpress as your platform you could use a lot of SEO Plugins - my personal favorite is the one which Yoast All in One offers...

If you learn SEO the right way you will generate tons of traffic in only a few days...

The most important things for effective SEO are:

+ Keyword Research
+ Keyword Density
+ OnPage and OffPage Optimization

From my coaching clients, i've seen a lot of newbies who are doing keyword research completely the wrong way, so they wonder why they won't generate tons of traffic.

The fastest advice i can give you to learn SEO is to use Youtube and search on this topic...

I would say joining and posting in facebook groups related to your blog, posting on forums related to your blog. Building a list sending your subscribers emails to check out your post and comment on it will increase interaction and also help with raising your blog post to front page in google will also help create more traffic. Also try solo ads and maybe placing ppl or low cost offers on the thank you page to help pay for the cost of the solo ad will help.

Maybe the best way would be to put an email opt-in box on your blog and send paid 'targeted' traffic to your blog. Then send people emails promoting cpa or clickbank offers in your niche.
