Host or Nanny State? - so frustrating - choose your domain wisely!
I have had a few issues lately with my hosting account timing out whenever I tried to work on my sites which as far as I am aware, have all been sorted, but I am still having problems.
The site in question is 3sumplus.com ...
I have just been trying to update a couple of pages and started getting timed out when updating... As I am sure the hosting has been sorted, I decided to try Bing as apposed to google .. don't really know why, I just did.
Trying use bing to access my site I was confronted with this message:
"SafeSearch
Your country or region requires a strict Bing SafeSearch setting, which filters out results that might return adult content."
Unbelievable! .. using the words 3sum in my domain has obviously triggered the filters ...I am guessing now that google is using a similar filter and whilst I can access for brief periods of time, they soon realize and block any further activity.....aggggghh.
Living in Thailand .. one the the favourite places for sex tourists (and no I am not one!), you wouldn't think they would restrict you in this way.
It goes to show, that when choosing a domain when living or working in such countries, you need to consider many more aspects to your choice of words than just keywords.
