BIGGEST Newbie Mistakes -$

I think I am still a newbie and There were 3 big mistake that I did which cost me 2 year time earning zero.
They were:
Unfocused on any specific stream.
Only thinking but no action.
After doing 50% of work changing my methods.

I learnt that before starting any of the methode first read more about it and know whether its for you . I F yes then you can go for it and get more info about it on forum,blogs and PDF ebooks.

Like I posted on thread that I am not a native English speaker.so how can I write a perfect English . Than I came to know that I can get paid for translation from English to my language and got a customer for it. Now I am working with my client. And yes I am learning English too.


we should do the work on which we are interested and expert. If not expert then also we can work but it takes more time. So whenever you get chance to choose between gold method and the methods you can implement easily or you interested in then leave the gold methods.

Ok the biggest mistake I made in beginning was not thinking of the bigger picture or believing how successful something can be. I nervously launched my first product just before going holiday hoping to make some extra spending money while I was away. The thing went crazy and I made some good money but there was a heck of a lot more money left on the table because there was no back end or actual sales funnel in place to capitalise on the unexpected success.

Side note I had a very successful offline business collapse because I relied on one source of business.

So always track everything, have a full sales funnel in place and plan to hit the big time as well having multiple income streams.

Guaranteed hits probably & not having a website.

My biggest problem from when i first started was picking a Niche that was way to hard to rank for and spent months and months of trying my hardest but finally realizing i can't compete with the big boys who spend so much $$$$

My biggest mistake was: Looking for quick payments while neglecting list building. Cost me thousands of dollars!

I've been building my list ever since and my income has been growing steadily.

Newbies: DON'T make the mistake of looking for quick commissions without building your list!

I can't put it in value, but it did cost me a lot.

1. Undetermined
2. Out of Focus
3. Aiming for Big Money in the Start

1. Thinking you will earn money immediately and give up too soon
2. Reading too much and never take action
3. Entering too competitive markets

Personally I advice everyone who is starting to learn Seo or List building immediately and never expect results right away , it takes some time .

Build QUALITY lists is good

There are different answers for different industries!

When I started blogging - my main mistakes were:

1 - Spending too much time writing blog posts.
2 - Worrying way too much about how my blog looked (at the beginning)
3 - Publishing crappy content.

When I got into network marketing online - I made some mistakes building my online team and that led me to failure too.

1 - I didn't motivate them enough.
2 - I did everything for my team.
3 - I did not lead by example.

Another BIG mistake most newbies online make - is not working on their mindset FIRST!

Here are the things you MUST do daily, if you want to get into the right mindset, which will lead to the right action:

1 - Learn Valuable Information Daily
2 - Listen to Successful People Daily
3 - Read your Online and Life Goals Daily
4 - Pick a Self-Development Book and Read it Daily!

If you are a newbie online, and you are not doing these daily, then you are already making mistakes online!!!

Oh .. one last thing ... one very important mistake I made - was to NOT take this Online Business as a REAL Business!!

If you want your online business to pay you like a real business, then treat it as such. If you treat this as a "Hobby" ... then guess what ... it will pay you like a hobby!

Bing Ads - running ads on their content network while testing keywords - cost me about $300 before I realized what was happening.

Go to All Campaigns - Ad Groups - Pick an Ad Group - Settings - Ad Distribution - unclick Content Network

once you dial in your campaign you can turn it back on.

I started building a website before I knew anything about generating traffic.

It cost me about three months of my time but also taught me some valuable lessons.

Thinking that its a program or some technical thing that determined whether I succeed or not!

My biggest advice for new people who are used the 9 to 5 deal. You need to get out of that mentality and learn a new way to think. Until then expect the same results!

Chasing fads i think is biggest mistake. Stick to the fundamentals if you want a longterm succesful online business.

Not building an emails list!

Not backing up my site!

I lost about a months worth of work and had to start from scratch!

My biggest Newbie Mistake? Not having my sales funnel set up correctly and creating an e-mail sequence that warms people up to me in order to buy anything I refer to and not just my primary business

How much did is Cost you? I can't boil this down to how much money I lost but I sure left a lot of money on the table.

What is your advice to Newbies to avoid your mistakes? Do not just focus on selling your primary business to your audience because only a tiny percentage will be interested in joining your company. Instead offer a solution to the main problem most marketers experience - normally this is lead generation. When you can offer a solution to most people's problems then you will make way more money per subscriber. Also, focus on offering a ton of value to increase the retention rate of your subscribers and thus make more money per subscriber

1. Believing those get rich quick lies.
2. Thinking everyone would buy from me?
3. Failing to build a list and a relationship with them before selling.
4. Not creating enough value.
5. Not joining Wealthy Affiliate University sooner.

I learnt from the above and things are now moving along nicely.

Over-complicating stuff
(Wanting to do the fancy stuff, instead of starting with the basics)

You see: I started with a product launch..
Lots of time and money invested and I made zero sales. Yepp, zero.
However, it was a great learning.

This is why I always recommend people start with affiliate marketing, to learn the basics of internet marketing

I have made multiple mistakes, to many to list here lol

1) getting shinning product syndrome and buying every product promoted to me

2) tried to offer marketing advice and services to business when I had no experience in marketing

3) jumping from business venture to business venture seo sites to cpa to product creation to mlm etc

4) investing way to much in the wrong coaching program

this is what advice I give to people new to marketing , pick 1 or 2 people to follow and learn from, unsubscribe from anyone's list who just sends emails promoting the next wso and jv zoo product.

learn one traffic generation method, so if it is seo learn it, let that become your life and master that one skill before jumping on to anything else.

learn copy, that is the most important skill to learn as a marketer, at less understand how to set up an effective sales message.

understand that this is a business, expect not to make money for at least 3 months, if you make money before its a bonus.
give yourself a good enough budget to succeed, you don't want to start your new online business and run out of funds in a month if you do not make any sales, you want to be able to fund your business for at least 3 months the longer the better, this will give you more of a chance to succeed.

and stay focused, never give up and always keep learning read books on marketing, focus on the fundamentals, copy, conversions, funnel set up this would never change

and enjoy it

My biggest mistake was in thinking I could do it all on my own. I saw that lots of people were making vast amounts of money on the internet, and it looked really easy. I failed miserably. After too many years and after spending all my money, I finally realized I wasn't going to get anywhere without a mentor to tell me what to do and show me how to do it. Procrastination is the biggest problem for me.
I created an account here five years ago, FIVE YEARS AGO!
And I'm starting learning affiliate marketing only now.

I really want to make some money fast.Can anybody guide me?

Three very weird words that go together (which I have done and gotten no where with)
1. Rushing
2. Procrastination
3. Anticipation (which makes me do number one.... or if I have writers block or a very good idea then Im on number 2)

My mistake was, that in the beginning I focused on SEO as my only traffic source, until one of my websites was no longer on the 1st page of google one morning for the main search term I was ranking for. My sales dropped for that search term, even though I was still ranking on the 1st page for others with that website.

There are other traffic generation methods out there that are much more stable, instant and scalable than just using good old SEO.

My biggest newbie mistake was to delay starting to work. I was trying to learn all and everything and got into the "information overload" stage where I just end up wasting time. My take from it - once you find something that you like and see yourself comfortable working with - do not delay starting to work or offer your service and learn more as you go along.

I started out as a freelancer and my biggest mistake was not having enough confidence and courage and thus ending up with low paying clients. The mistake I make even nowadays is not being focused enough and not following the action plan thoroughly.

My biggest mistakes were not getting started sooner and then jumping from one thing to the next because I was seeing immediate results. I've found that if you stick to a proven method, eventually it will work. Assuming you're not doing something catastrophically wrong. Cheers!
