Best product launch or ebook course to start with if brand new

Hi Guys,

Just joined and have a question: what is the best course for e newbie to start out with? I'm interested in writing an eBook or launching a product, something along the lines of what Frank Kern did with the parrot and dog training websites when he started out. I looked at his webiste, but it seems like he is only working with people who are way more ahead of the game than I am.

I also looked at a lot of different things online, but it is very confusing.

Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I think, if you can afford it, you should try to find a mentor that can help you because they've "been there and done that."
They can also give you the attention and help that you'll need that a cheap product ever could.

OP: Figure out what it is you want to launch first. There's a big difference between, say, building an empire of Kindle books and creating a high-ticket video course. When you know exactly what it is you want to do, you'll get much more specific answers.

Exactly. It's hard to give advice when OP's are never really specific.

To the op, find what you want to do first. Make it specific as to what your goals are, what kind of product you want to sell, and how much of a budget you have.

But I do recommend going to the War Room OP

Tons of great products about product launches

        • Hey iggy it really is not so much the ebook but the market. The problem you help solve and the timing.

You just have to really pay attention to what is buzzing around you there are signs. Focus in on what your buyer wants and where they hang out.

There are lots of ebooks that bite the dust. As mentioned you want to think ahead. Start lining up prospects who may be interested to buy and maybe even affiliates that might promote it for you. All those things add up to a winner.

There may be a group that is very close to you that have something in common you can rally around for a topic of interest.

Keep us posted. I am curious which way you go. Good luck.

I'd suggest that you look around the 'net for case studies, journeys, and methods relating to eBook launches. It's basic information that exists for free. Save money where you can, buddy.

Thanks to all of you for responding!

@Rob - I've thought about a mentor, but I don't know what I don't know yet. I'll have to dig through the free or less expensive stuff until I get crystal clear about what I want to do (things are pointing to eBooks on different subjects) and then invest in a specific person who will help me get a specific result.

@focusedlife - I ordered The Launch book last night, it seems like a very useful read, thanks for the suggestion

@ Ebbi - I will sign up for the War Room eventually as according to your post and many others it seems like a great resource. It will not be right this minute as I want to give myself time to look around this forum (which seems awesome from my impressions so far) and explore all the free information I can get.

@ElGuapo - I want to launch many different eBooks Frank Kern parrot and dog training style (I realize I have to find the specific niches first). If you can point me to a site/post/thread/inexpensive book that sheds more light on this subject, it will be greatly appreciated

@GRM - this is exactly the route I intend on taking, thanks for the advice

Once again thank you all for your responses!

Or pay a small amount of money now to save yourself hours/days scouring the web for appropriate examples of what you want to accomplish.

He wasn't asking what to write his ebook about. He was asking how to go about launching his ebook.

I'd go with what focusedlife said above. Get Jeff walkers book "Launch" it explains the components you need for a successful launch. I have read the book my self and I would recommend it any day of the week. For around $11 you cant go wrong.

you need to be building an early birds list right now while your creating your product so that when you launch you have a pool of buyers waiting to purchase.

I highly recommend getting a mentor like Rob mentioned - if it is something you can afford.

However Jeff Walker has just recently come out with his book 'Launch' which I would highly recommend getting either way - he knows what he's talking about when it comes to product launches!

    Thank you all for responding!

@jasondinner - it seems like my question may have been too general, apologies for that; I am looking for a product that will help me identify a niche (which will lead to deciding what to put in the ebook), how to launch it, build sites, lists, sales letters, follow up, pretty much the whole thing from start to finish. If anyone knows an excellent product or a mentor who has expertise in this who can help me achieve this, please let me know.

The whole process was completely blurry as I'm new to this, but it is getting clearer. From my findings, to be able to successfully complete this, there are 4 major steps (with many substeps and details I imagine):

    1. Find a niche
    2. Create a product
    3. Build a webiste
    4. Drive traffic

I know that as I go along things will get clearer and I realize it is a step by step process.

    Thanks again
