Depends what kind of plr products you mean. I have a plr article store on auto pilot. If it wasn't on auto pilot, I would have thrown it out the door already |

It can be...depends on what you want to do... There is so much PLR though that at times it is saturated. Be warned! Cheers, Brad |

Give it away to build your list... like you're doing now (in your sig). OR... you can take it... put your spin on it (by adding more content and updating and old information), the sell it. |

I am not into direct PLR selling but I have made significant amount of money by using it in various form. PLR is still in demand if you are able to provide quality. Start building a list by offering your PLR stuff for free and then monetize your list by selling your PLR stuff. |

| PLR is very, very profitable - but only if you're creative. It's easy to just change the name and sell it... or just take the whole damn thing and resell it... you'll get some nice change, but if you want to make a HUGE profit, *this* is what you do. People think that PLR needs to be high quality, but really, it doesn't. Think of PLR products as Classroom Notes. Say you're taking a physics class - you wouldn't simply compile your physics notes and publish them as a book, would you? Of course not. You'll do some editing. You'll take all those bullet-lists and write smoothly-flowing paragraphs. You'll organize your charts into something legible. Same with PLR. You can alter in any way, shape or form. Say you want to create a product about horses, but you know nothing about horses. You take a PLR report on horses, highlight the parts you like. You do some research and include that research. You take the included graphics and you doctor it up with Photoshop. You write your sales page and you're good to go. Done right, no one will ever know you used PLR. The problem with PLR is that it gives you Too Much Freedom. Too Much Freedom Paralyzes People, especially if they're not creative. This is why people slap a new label on and go resell it as is... then the PLR product is seen all over the Internet, but looks worse than a chewed dog-toy, and thus all PLR is deemed as Crap. (I'll admit though, that I've been guilty of the same thing before. However, I have more than enough material on my computer to create my own - which I currently do.) |

rebranding a PLR product and making a new product can be profitable. You can use it to build a list or you can flip it and sell it. . It all depends on how you look at it. . and use your creative mind to make money with it |

Thanks guys. Nunu, thats what I've started doing. Hopefully my efforts should pay dividends soon. Moneysoapbox, thanks for the advice. I was planning to put packs of plr products together and sell them. But instead of a lot of plr products in one pack (with slight modifications to them), do you suggest that I make smaller packs with more unique content? Would this sell better in your opinion? (Btw that question goes out to everyone) Thanks again, MrEyeconic |

It depends on the market for example i see plr up for sale all the time if i google the title i will find someone that is offering it for free on the internet. If i was going to sell it i would do so as 100 copies only for say $37 that way it wont be over done on the internet and people would be happier with the product. At present i offer plr on just a few reports that i have written and get regular sales from it as one of my income streams but ive never thought of it as my main business. kind regards sam X |

Onslaught, I see where you're coming from. The only reason I ask is because I'm thinking if scrapping the idea of PLR. I don't want to put a lot of money in to something that will not be profitable. I'm thinking of just creating my own reports and products. It might be more work, but I think it could work out for the best in the long run. I was just trying to get a general concensus on the idea. But I appreciate your views and point taken about the sig. MrEyeconic |

| PLR content works fine if you completely re-edit it, so it looks new. I've found most PLR content packages badly written, so you should make it easy to read and consume. Insert your own style, and always do a spell and grammar check, and you're on your way.

I think if you start a targeted PLR website that focuses on a specific niche you may have more success.

It can be worth it but, in my view (and I have sold PLR myself including a membership site), you have to commit 100% to it. You cannot do half PLR and half something else. That's my view anyway. Coz for articles you need a heck of a lot of packs to make a store. For a membership site, you need to spend third or half the month writing to create the content alone. For ebooks, maybe it is possible to mix it up with another activity. But you still need to dedicate consecutive days to making the product or else you the discontinuity will make your product crap AND it will take longer. |

No, it's all hype and a waste of time. Nobody in their right senses would by PLR - after the changes made by Google. |

Selling PLR is an excellent business model. I've done well wholesaling it. Some stuff is junk and some is great. The trick is sorting through it and picking the best out.

I sell PLR blogs but I also buy a lot of PLR content and have it rewritten. I'm always looking for high quality PLR content in the niches I choose.

I like it because it is a "set and forget" type of business model. Once I create a pack, put it on my store, and email my list, the pack will make me money on autopilot. I will admit that things are slow to start (much like anything else,) but once the snowball starts rolling... it gets better. Also, having been in a slump the last month or so, this business also slows down considerably if you stop working on it. When I was fully active, sales were rather consistent. Now that I am back to my day job and my wife is handling her own clients, the numbers are down. The good news is that I know the only thing holding me back is me. This model works for sure. |

The thing about PLR, like any business, is that it takes time to get it going. It takes time to build your customer base and to stock the kind of content they're looking for. But, just like Doug said, it snowballs once you have more stock. I don't agree with some of the comments above that you have to commit to PLR and nothing else - in fact, PLR is useful to work on alongside other business models. But I do agree that you need to be consistent in what you do and that sales can drop off if you don't continuously work on it. So, from a PLR seller's point of view, yes it is well worth creating PLR to sell. From a PLR buyer's point of view - I also buy and rewrite PLR for my niche websites - I also definitely think PLR is here to stay. I am always using PLR for my sites to help me come up with content for the site, or to give me a head start on building an email list. I know there are many more marketers like me out there! |

There are many ways (direct, indirect) to make profits with PLR contents. If your business model is selling PLR contents to internet marketers, first teach them how to make profits with them.
