Where/How do I promote my blog?

Hello!

I have a personal blog related to IM niche which I'm sharing hosting/domain/vps coupon..... I also share some free stuff which could help people start in IM and some method/tutorial to start making money online for newbie (soon)

So I just want to know where and how do I promote my blog?

I tried Facebook groups but it's not working.

Is there any free or paid way to get instant traffic?

Thanks

Use the search function please. One hint, post to your blog regularly and embed your keywords and make sure every post is of high quality and worth sharing.

Guest blogging used to be a good way to drive traffic but as of right now, Google is penalizing guest blogging networks pretty heavily.

This seems to be where the brunt of Google's ire is falling
right now, but the "weak guest blogs" by lone guest bloggers are also
feeling the heat. Just like a fire starts at the bottom and burns
upwards, you can expect this heat to rise closer and closer to the top,
so if you are in any way, shape or form guilty of weak guest blogs, I
suggest cutting some ties pretty quickly if Google's penalization
    worries you.

So, what can you do instead of guest blogging?

Instead of guest blogging, fall back on the timeless classics of
internet marketing. Content marketing is still the big dog, just think
of guest blogging as a flea on that dog that's been removed. There are
still plenty of hairs for you to scratch off including:

    - Creating extra-awesome content for your own blogs. Why do you need to
be on other people's blogs in the first place (yes, I know, for
traffic). But still, the point remains: if your content is that good
and interesting, people will come to your blog. Focus on making your
blog the best it can be and make your site a place where people say,
"Man, if only we could still guest blog, I'd want to guest blog there!"

    - Community and niche participation. If you still feel that the best
way for you to move forward with your marketing efforts is to branch out
laterally into the bigger communities and sites in your niche, instead
of guest blogging, start becoming active in the forums and on the
posting boards. You can always leave links to your own blog on a topic
in the commentary section. Just because guest blogging is gone doesn't
mean your presence outside of your website has to disappear.

While I have seen this to be true with blogs that are more like "guest blog networks", guest blogging is still a great way to promote if you do it correctly. Instead of just submitting your content to HubSpot or wherever, find high-quality blogs in your niche on Feed.ly or just through Google. Hunt down the blog owner. Ask them if you can do a guest blog for them, OR if they can do a guest blog for you.

I actually get bigger traffic spikes from having OTHERS guest blog for me than I do by guest blogging for others. I tend to target people who have a blog just about at my level, the blog is personal (only one or two writers - NOT run by a corporation), but maybe they've been around a little longer than I have. The guest bloggers I invite to my site help me create good, unique content (and get me out of writing quite so many blog posts!), but they're usually honored to be invited, so they'll link their guest blog post on their own blog & social networks, which always gets me a good traffic spike.

My point is this: If you use guest blogging the way it's SUPPOSED to be used, there's not as big a Google penalty. But guest blogging is SUPPOSED to be a thing where I see someone else's work and love it and want to share it with my own readers, so I invite them to guest blog for me. OR, I think I have something of value to share with THEIR readers, so I ask them to make space for me. It's not supposed to be just a random, senseless link-building strategy, and if you treat it like that, you're not getting the full value from it.

Ross is right, but do your research find the best key phrases that are not high traffic but have decent traffic. Then as Ross says make the blog post keyword rich.

Example, target say - 10 ways to grow a blog.

Repeat 3 times in the post 10 ways to grow a blog x 1 in bold

Mention blog x 2 times extra 1 bold.

Ad some external links and internal links to other decent blogs similar to yours.

You also need a couple of h2 tags with decent headers like, Blog content that's readable.

I would also ad a couple of tagged pictures, many people now search by pictures and not words.
You should target forum or blogs that have a domain authority of 30 or above, or PR ranking of 1 and above.

My other suggestion would also do some link building on forums and blogs targeting the keywords you have used for each blog post.

This all takes time but eventually it will work.

Do not repeat any headers keep every one original.

    Good Luck.

Oh, check my post above and obviously the idea is there. You should ACT. When you're done posting to your blog and you thing it's worth sharing then of course you yourself will share it to your facebook account and if it is really worth sharing then some of your friends might share it also and it goes viral.

My father once told me that the head is there above my body to use it first.

My mother told me when finding something, use your eyes and not your mouth.

If you really want instant traffic then use PPC but make sure that your site convert well before doing so.

Facebook is one of the good sources to promote your blog. But if its not working for you then try with Guest Blogging, Forum postings, SEO, Google Analytics, etc. These are one of the top sources to promote your blog.

Start to build a list of emails. If you search around the Warrior Forum you will find out how important this strategy is for your long term success. Offer something valuable for free in return for their email. Then start to build relationship with your email audience and promote your blog posts.

Social medias are ok too. I don't unerstand what does it mean 'not working' for Facebook groups. If you target the right group and not promote directly and too pushy, then this strategy is very good.

What about Linkedin? Your target group is using it! You can find Linkedin groups as well.

There are so many ways to get instant traffic. How many ways do you need? as you are wanting for both free & paid way. You can do the SEO, Social media, Back link, Forum posting, bookmarking & so on.You should choose the Do-follow link more than the No-follow link. Because the Do-follow link works more than the No-follow link. have a try.

Have you tried commenting on other blogs? Now I am not meaning blast out automated spammy comments. I mean go out and visit other blogs, engage and comment. If these blogs have traffic and you leave a helpful or insightful comment, then you will see clicks.

There is a LOT more to blog commenting than just building links.

There are plenty of other places you can promote your blog. Let me give you a few examples,

-Comment on Forums but make sure you are adding lots of value, and make sure you add your blog link to your signature. If you are adding value to the community people will naturally check out your blog and seek out more information from you.

-You can also by PPC traffic to help promote your blog.
-Comment on other blog posts within your niche, and make sure you are adding *value*. (Can't keep stressing value enough.

-Create a Twitter and other social media accounts, and share your posts.

-As far as FB Groups go make sure you are in Real groups that people are sharing *Valuable* Content, not spam groups, and be a regular contributor. Do Not randomly spam your blog. People will be angry at you and eventually you will be banned from the group.

-You can also create a YouTube Channel and start recording videos and tutorials, add your blog link to the description and people will naturally check you out.

I hope this helps, and good luck on your endeavours.

Yeah, it's sound weird but method/tutorial I'm gonna sharing is about paid traffic and how to convert paid traffic into cash (affiliate earning). And here I'm looking for cheap/free traffic for my website because I don't expect any big earning from this website. I'm looking for method which doesn't require big money investment but just only time investment

If you have a WordPress blog, I would recommend you start by installing and using a SEO plugin (like Yoast WordPress SEO).

If you are going for paid advertising, you can send targeted traffic to your blog from PPC networks like Bing Ads or 7Search

It really depends on what you want out of it - what your goal is.

Do you want to build a list and then send emails to your subscribers that go to your blog posts?

Or do you simply want people to land on your blog?

Personally, if you're going with the first option - I'd use solo ads - since you're in the IM niche.

And for the latter option, a great paid method might be banner ads on similar blogs in your niche - go here to find some blogs/websites in your niche and advertise on their site:
