Folks I thought I would share my out linestrategy on promoting an affiliate product. Its probably not new to most, but thought I would post to see what every one thinks. 1. Obvious first thing is to discover a niche and product to promote. I will do this by using clickbank and the google keyword tool. I will target keywords that are not to competitive, i.e under 50,000 competing sites for the search term in quotes. Also sites on first page are not to high in PR. I tend to review the top 10 sites to get a feel of the competition, if I see forums, or PR0 to 1 sites then I feel this is a good keyword to go for. I then register a keyword rich domain. 2. Create a product website using wordpress, I will use the "my story" style setup, i.e this is the problem I had, this is what I tried, after lots of research I found the ultimate product. Then send them to the affiliate page. I will then Book mark sites on as many social sites as possible. Then start back link building, through blogs, forums, angelas links etc. 3. Create 5 articles, making sure they have good quality content. Create 5 web 2.0 sites, such as blogger, hubpages, squidoo etc. Add one article to each web 2.0 site and link to my main site. Bookmark each site and backlinks as previous step. 4. Create 5 blogs using wordpress. Use a generic .com or .net sites. Set up the blog to automatically post content from an article directory. There are a few plugins out there, some are free. You want each of the blogs to be closely based on your keywords. You can set this up automatically through your plugin so that it only pulls up posts specific to your keywords. Then find a text replace plugin so that you can replace keywords you are targetting on your main site and replace them with a link to your site. The purpose of this is that each post could potentially create several links to your site. If you are auto posting twice a day, on 5 blogs, you will potentially get lots of links. They may not be high PR links, however they are keyword rich links that come from a site which is very much based around your niche. I am sure this will help in ranking. I then Bookmark each site and backlink as per previous step. 5. Submit my 5 original articles to ezine first. Then bookmark each article and backlink as previous steps. Then publish all articles to all other directories(I am not a believer in duplicate content penalty) And thats basically it. I am just about to start this strategy, anyone have any guidance or ideas, do you think this will work, is there anything else I should consider. |

sounds good to me. what you can also do is to link to the 5 blogs from each of the web 2.0 pages. and then you will obviously be linking in to the main site from there. if you can use an article syndication service like the unique article wizard or something similar to build links to those 5 blogs, you will eventually have 5 blogs with some PR linking in... which will be good leverage. |

Thats a great idea, will add that to my overall strategy. Do you think I shoudl use adsense on the blogs to try get some money from them? Or is it not worth it?

what I see is some handsome investment of money and time, but I hope it results good for low competition keywords

This plan sounds costly! Maybe take it slower at first. I wouldn't buy five domains for a new (and untested!) project, but that's your call. Hope this helps! Connor |

Ok thanks for all your input. I will probably just buy a couple of domains to use as blogs. Your right, its a lot of work and effort if its not going to work!
