How to actually use affiliate marketing?

I have read that clickbank is one of the best affiliates programs. I checked it and found that there are many products from my areas. But I don't have time and money to test those products. What can I promote? I have tested only books from my areas and maybe some courses. But books from Amazon aren't so much profitable and courses which I bought aren't offering any affiliates. So should I focus on Amazon and products I have actually tested or is it a bad idea to promote something through Clickbank I haven't tested(based on others' positive reviews)?

If you don't have the money then get a job.

Not to sound harsh, but if you can't afford to purchase a clickbank product then you probably won't make it very far.

You have to spend money to make money.

I seriously doubt that you cannot find a way to scrounge up the little money it takes to purchase an affiliate product to review it for yourself.

Those products, possibly: you can ask for review copies (and there are suggestions for "how to do that successfully" right here ).

Failing that, it's totally legitimate and acceptable to buy a copy through your own hoplink (just don't ask for a refund, if you do it that way!).

Probably, yes: it would be unwise indeed to promote them without having seen them.

      listen to this preety lady!

btw, in my opinion, if you ask someone a review copy and you explain them that you will use it for review purpose, 60% times you will win, 40% times they didnt see your message, 20% times rejected.

      so why not try?

If you're new to affiliate marketing, you're jumping in at the deep end.

In order to get paid with CB, you need to refer credit card sales. Not easy if you're a beginner.

Get your feet wet with email / zip submits. This way you refer someone to something free, they enter their email / zip, and you get paid a commission.

The most important part of affiliate marketing is list building. If you are not opting people in first you are loosing alot of money. You should never send traffic directly to an affiliate offer.

You can have many followers on social sites and then promote your affiliate links with them for increased traffic and sales.

OP: you say you don't have the time or money to test the CB products, right? That's problematic for a few reasons, the least of which is personal experience with the product.

I mean, it takes time to build and regularly make sales from an affiliate site, let alone the wait time for the pay cheque. You could cut that down with paid traffic, but you don't have the money for that.

Are you sure this is the right path for you at this moment? Perhaps you could look into providing a service instead (e.g. backlinking, blog commenting, reviews, design). That can be set up very quickly and would pay instantly.

        Thank you for all answers!
So, in order to be more successful with affiliate, I have to review items, even those books because I just placed a banner in the sidebar and no words about it. So I will have to make some mini reviews.
Yes, I can try some affiliates programs in my country, but it is not very good when it comes to affiliate in Slovakia. But my blog is multilingual, so I can use international affiliates products and also from my country.
        My last 2 questions.
1.what do you think about adding affiliates links in the blog posts when I just mention that product I used?
2.is it good idea to send friends(through facebook message) affiliates link?

At first learn more about affiliate and selling products. It doesn't matter you have your own product or others. Clickbank and Amazon both are great for earning good commission. Learn how to promote your affiliate links. If your start with your webpage you should know how to bring a good number of traffic. I think those will be helpful for you.
    Thanks

If you're just starting affiliate marketing I would avoid Clickbank products. They take alot more money to test and to make profitable than CPA offers. I recommend signing up to CPA networks like Neverblue, Adsimilis, Ads4dough etc and test lower payout offers ($4-8).. testing lower payout offers takes alot less money to test to see if they actually convert or not.
