Content Distribution Help

Hi, im putting together a strategy and tactics for my team so we can make headway in content marketing throughout 2015. We work in some tiny niches and are having difficulty promoting our content so it gets traction. Our clients are also risk averse which means we have to play really safe.

Does anyone have any content distribution tips/lists/tactics we can use?

thanks
mark

Distributing content successfully tends to be very time-consuming (albeit extremely worthwhile!) because it's a real relationship-building process.

The rule of thumb is anywhere you can just "submit" content and find it published with no editorial/approval/acceptance processes is very unlikely to be of any real benefit (and may even become questionably risky from the SEO perspective). Exactly the opposite of submitting content to relevant places which already have the targeted traffic desired.

This post might possibly help, Mark: it contains a list of suggestions for distributing content, kind of "in order of importance", and a few links to other, similar discussions, too: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post9418843

Thanks Alexa, i understand the days of auto approval are long gone and we're really trying to produce some good output.

Should the focus be inbound supported by content advertising using services like:

    zemanta.com business.disqus.com taboola.com outbrain.com thenextweb.com facebook.com linkedin.com nrelate.com forbesmedia.com/brandvoice-posts/ nativo.net sharethrough.com voxmedia.com adblade.com onespot.com contentblvd.com gravity.com
or is outreach and content placement still valid?

    thanks

If I've understand the jargon correctly, it's the only way I know of, of achieving content syndication benefits.

Hence my observation about it being a real relationship-building business.

(It may be that some "services" you've mentioned might have some benefits, but for myself I can't imagine why they would/might, or what sort of benefits they could provide. I may be missing something!).
