Where To Find Writers With a Great Sense of Humor?

I read all these posts from Alexa and it seems she's a great writer but where would I find such writers and how much would I be paying for an article that's funny, controversial, etc etc.?

Easy if you have the writing skills yourself, not so easy if you have to outsource it.

Write 2 - 3 articles you find comical yourself or find a few scripts / templates you find funny and then find a writer on elance / fiver / odesk etc. and tell them to mimic the style of writing.

    Lead by example.

why didn't you start by asking Lexy herself?

..or find a copywriter, who can produce top quality engaging content, depending what you need it for?

I don't want to bother people with PM's, besides that I think she mainly works for herself as I never saw her advertise writing services or anything like that.

What I want to do is this:

      - Get great content
      - Publish it on my site
      - Promote it in newsletters, eg ezines / solo ads
      - Offer it to other sites in my niche
      - Capture emails
      - Follow up emails etc.

Problem is that most professional copywriters are hell expensive, like $500+

I have no idea if I make that kind of money back, especially as this is all new to me.

Indeed its hard to find someone like me. And it takes a lot of research, chances is that I found you. I however choose niches so most employers are declined

I'm from odesk so taking Jake's advice would really work.

    can I have a signature?

Lol, did I just notice a grammar/spelling issue in your comment, "chance" vs "chances"? Or should it be "chances are" instead of "chances is"?

Not the best way to promote yourself.

I am looking for it as well.

I am new and I have so many things to learn

    This is so tough

I know Lexy only writes for herself and if she did writer for others, I have no doubt that you couldn't afford her. You need to give real examples of your definition of humour if you want a writer who can help you.

Who is this Lexy you people are talking about. Can someone point me to her blog or website? I hope to learn something from there as I like to write with a sense of humor too.

Since when is it about my definition of humour and not what speaks to the imagination of the majority. I suppose a writer has a better view of that than me.

I have no idea how much Alexa would charge, but it's not so much about being able to afford, it's more about willingness to spend. I once spend $750,- on a sales thread which didn't convert any better than the one I wrote myself.

Since then I'm pretty much done spending that kind of amounts.

What caught my attention are the 4.85+ writers at iWriter and the Elite ones at Textbroker, those are in the range of $40-$70/1000 words if I remember correctly. I suppose these people are skilled writers, just wonder if they also blink out in sales copy. A bit expensive to just test here and there for such rates.

Lexy isn't the only great writer around here.

    Let's not forget that.

MY ADVICE: Go onto sites like Odesk, freelancer.com etc.

Put out an ad stating exactly how much you're willing to pay.

    Wait for the applicants.

    Get them onto Skype.

Once in Skype, get them to write a trial article, providing an example of the style.

PAY for the trial article but ONLY if they pass training i.e. they are willing to learn to write the way you like it.

Once you've got them that far you have a great writer for life.

    Go you..

The secret? Spending time to train your writers.
