Do NOT Listen to People who Tell You that You Cannot Make it in this Business !

Got back yesterday from a huge gathering of family and relatives under one roof.

Hearing people talk to others about what they do in Life or what they are trying to do in Life made me think of this and writing a Post about it.

The fact of the matter is who ever you are there will ALWAYS be someone in your Life who says what you are doing is a waste of time. And that you will NOT be successful.( Or at the very least they will question what you are doing.)

Even some of the people closest to you.That can include Mom and Dad and your wife or husband.

If I had a dollar for every person who told me what I was doing in Online Marketing was doomed for failure and a huge waste...well I would have a small tidy fortune

I am glad I did not listen to these people.

So tune out the naysayers and focus on your business plan.

They will always be there so just get used to it

    I totally agree with your advice, however, since so many people fail at Internet money making, it's not surprising that all your family and friends are nay-sayers . . . they're just going with the odds, so to speak. If 95% of all new businesses fail, you can hardly blame people for betting against you!

      Yes, you can - especially family/friends.

      Do people not understand that everyone who starts a business (and is serious in doing so) understands there's a likeliness of it failing? The last thing a business owner needs is those people to patronize their ambition to start a business; rather than offering support.

    However we may disagree that IM is not for everyone, just look at the high failure rate.
    Same applies to most if not all businesses, not everyone is cutout to run a business...

      I do not think we really disagree all that much.

      I am the first to always admit that IM is not for everyone.

      My Thread was geared more towards the naysayers in your Life that couldn't tell you the difference between a URL and Domain and people who think List Building is something you write down on a piece of paper for items to get at a grocery store

      These kinds of people are not always the best ones to listen to for advice.

      If you have a solid Plan in place based on a successful IM model then you need to put your nose to the grindstone and tune out all this noise

      I had a collegau that always talked down on my idea's.

      Then I quit the job to work for myself, which went real well for years, but then it went down.

      Exactly at that moment I ran into him and he asked me how's business.

      Well I ain't gonna lie, so told him it wasn't going that well.

      His obvious response: I told you.

      Whatever, sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't, still I had some very good years from it and it's not like it stops there. Sure I had some marginal years after that but when you're persistent you always find something new, and after enough trying it inevitable that you will succeed some day.

      So obvious I went on and now I'm back in business again for a few years already and in a better position than ever before. Would like to meet him again but bit hard as I live in Thailand now

    I can remember as yesterday when I started... My family, my friend and people around doubt me. I experienced this. I heard this from successful people if you are hanging around with broke people it going to be pretty hard for you to become reach.

    I didn’t allow negative toughs to me. I found mentors and join mastermind groups to surround myself with same minded people who give me wings. Yes really you get momentum when you hang out with this people and this is key to success

    Great post Robert!

    There will always be people like that EVERYWHERE you go - on forums, in friends, in families. There is nothing you can do about that - that's out of your control.

    But what you can control is how you react to that - what that means to you.

    Everything in life is perception. How you perceive something in your mind becomes your reality.

    When I first started online - I was shocked that some of the people I thought would support, resented me for doing what I do - and so I was forced to have a paradigm shift...

    ...from worrying about what people think and questioning why they're doubting me - to not caring what other people think, staying unreactive to the negative people and taking action regardless of what anyone else thinks.
