I have a giant package of products that I'm planning to use as a OTO. The entire folder is nearly half a gig. I am having the hardest hell of a time finding a place to host it. I tried my webhost, but nooooooooo it had to take up 77% of disk-space and then apparently when it was finally downloaded, the damn thing wouldn't open. Apparently, free file-hosting services are also crap, because they require you to wait. I did this as a temporary solution so people could give testimonials, buttttttttttttt I don't even think they can give them, because of the time it takes to download. I NEED A GOOD FILE-HOSTING SERVICE WITH A FREE TRIAL. Know of any? |

How much storage do you need. You can store on my server if you need.

I probably won't need any more than 1 GB, having it all in one package would be great. How much would you charge for server space? | |

Nothing for server space, you would be the first person I allowed into my FTP but, you appear to be an established WF member, so I believe I can trust you. If you have filezilla then PM me and I'll get you set up!

As a user/buyer I always prefer to get such "giant" packages in smaller chunks, i.e. products 1-10 products 11-20 products 21-30 etc. It works much better on any kind of internet connection than having one single huge file that takes ages to download. Just my $0.02 |

| With all due respect... there is no such thing as "unlimited" everything. Hosts know well that 95% of the websites will never use as much as it is allocated to one hosting package, so they go around pimping "unlimited webspace and/or bandwidth". The reality is that neither of those is unlimited: the resources on any machine are limited and the bandwidth is also limited.

Contradictory, but so so true. You don't really get "unlimited" space/bandwidth even if you are on an "unlimited" plan. Read the fine print and you'll see the limits there. So what choice do you have? I suggest you go take a look at Amazon's S3 service. It's NOT a "pay a flat fee and get unlimited storage" deal, but it's pay-for-what-you-use, is relatively cheap and is as reliable as it gets. Perhaps this will suit your needs? |

Wow, that's going to be a huge download for people and would take ages (here in NZ anyway). I'd imagine it's going to cost someone an arm and a leg in bandwidth somewhere along the line.... |

Maybe make the download split into 3 or 4 seperate packs? I too dislike huge downloads that take forever and don't usually continue if it looks like it will take hours. No hosting is unlimited, my resell says unlimited, but when I make packages, there are limits in the amount I can add. Good eh! Good luck with your listbuilding. |
