I have access to backlinks that work - want to build something for me instead of clients

Hi there - I have been involved in SEO since 2000

For a long time I was "out of the game" and about 3 years ago I was involved in a different business and found myself giving people SEO advice.

I met a private network that sells links. They work well and I resell the links to clients all the time. I buy the links wholesale and I have been thinking for a while of what site I could build for myself and then use these links to get ranked.

I don't see anything I like from affiliates, have toyed with the idea of finding a great product and then building a shopify site around it, or have thought about getting site(s) ranked and then selling advertising on them to "service" related companies.

I have zero experience with "lists" but from my limited understanding, I could create something to give away for free like an ebook in exchange for their email and then just "work the list". I am also toying with the idea of partnering with people who have sites or ideas and just need traffic. I don't really want to have a site that requires constant editorial content. All I know is I can get sites ranked well and not sure what to do with this power now myself because I know I can make more than reselling links to other companies with established sites. Any ideas?
