NOOB in need of advice. Have I got this right?

Hi fellow warriors

I am a long time lurker on these boards and have probably spent a whole year dipping in and out of various topics trying to learn as much as i can etc but am really finding it difficult to find a direction to go in. There is so much info on here that its actually overload and i cant seem to make up my mind where to begin.

I find myself reading one WSO then the next and I am sold on them all so don't know which way to turn. I have read a lot about "starting to build your list from day one" so I figure that thats where I should focus my efforts. I know i need a squeeze/optin page and need to set up and aweber account to look after that. I havent chosen I niche yet because to be honest I don't know what the next step is.

Lets say I drive traffic (a whole other minefield i need to learn about) to my squeeze page and offer people something for free and I start building my list, do i then send people emails every other day directing them to my sales page? (when I finally decide what I'm going to sell) Or do i need to send them 4 or 5 emails first adding value etc???

Thing is I was thinking about creating my own product, an ebook

"how to become a car dealer"

As this is what I do for a living at the moment and have experience in. only thing is thats very specific and i dont know without giving everything away in the book how i'd build on that in newsletters. Also if I do get some sales then theres nothing else that would really fit in around that niche. Does this seem like a thing that would sell?

Do i need to think of a more broader niche to enable repeat sales?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks

Its difficult to sell a ebook on "How to become a car Dealer" but if you really have some easy and kool tips on it, you can do it.

The most fastest way to make money is either buy done for you websites and start on it.
    Or
You can also write articles if you good at it and sell those

I don't have to do the ebook, its just an idea. Aren't these pre built sites not just crappy though? selling articles is no good to me. I want to earn alot more than just working for my time per hour

Before investing any time in making an ebook, I suggest you explore if there's a need for it. The way this game work is:
        1. you find a problem people (in a niche) are having
        2. you make a solution - packaged in a downloadable book
        3. you sell it to them
        Classic Kern stuff.

Caveat: this is general stuff - the bigger and hairier and urgent the problem you are solving for your niche, the better your chances to sell your ebook. Then there's courses on the tactics on how exactly to sell your thing... The advantage of learning what other have done (Kern and friends) is that they have tested most of this stuff out so you can learn from them and not do the same mistakes as they did ... which you might if you go "trial and error"

As I understand you are good at "how to become a car dealer".
So I believe you are a coach in that topic! Why not to develop your own caoching program and make some videos course about "How To Become a Successful Car Dealer"
You could also making some others coaching programs about other topics, furniture's, electronics, trucks...
You may start learning Internet Marketing thru Warrior forum and thru some affiliate platform like clickbank, jvzoo ..., where you can read a lot on how to market on Internet.
    Hope that help

Nice day to all of you

My advice is to: Treat this like a part-time job.

Force yourself to do the minuscule tasks like posting on related forums regarding cars with a link to on your forum signature to your squeeze page. Post on related blogs with your link below etc. Work hard for a few hours a day, just like you do in real life.

After a month you should see some results

Sorry I think I may have oversold the car idea. What I really wanted to know was do i send my list straight to sales page or do i need to be more clever about it?

It is most important to build a list, so always send people to a squeeze page in the first instance. Then use follow up emails to convince them to buy from your sales page.

It is not clever so much as good marketing.

The first thing to find out, above all else, is whether there is a hungry market for 'How To Make Money Buying and Selling Cars' or whatever your 'how to become a car dealer' report, course or tuition actually is. (note: your title really does have to be quite specific and lay it on the line what people can DO with your ebook or whatever).

There are plenty of ways to do this:
Look for forums on the subject, what questions are people asking there? Can you answer them? Will people pay you to get those answers?
Look for magazines on the subject, both printed and online. What do they write articles about? What do readers have problems with?

In other words, do some niche research before you hit on one particular idea.

It is good that you are an expert in something. Just make sure that people want that expertise for themselves badly enough to pay for it and that there are enough people wanting it.

My tip for you is to use social activity and post lots of useful information, after such kind of hard work people will be ready to buy more of your high quality information.

In your emails I would start off giving them Value. Since you are not in MMO Niche then building Value ,and not throwing a Promo at them from the git go, is a true necessity.

I would start off the first week with an email every other day.

Describing some of the nuances associated with being a Car Dealer and how to break into the business.

Later, you could break promos down into several e-books or video courses like...
      1. The 'red tape' you need to do to officially become a registered dealer and how to efficiently do this
      2. How to be a Dealer without a physical location ( like a Wholesaler)
      3. Acquiring the necessary Sales Skills to be able to sell 20 cars a month as a Dealer.
      4. The best places to buy your inventory as a Dealer...auctions, wholesalers, other dealers etc..

There is really endless ways to keep coming up with new ideas products, e books, videos to promote to a List

That would be much too much "selling" and not enough "pre-selling". Robert's suggestions, in the post just above, are likely to work much better than that, for you.

I'd also make sure that the "something for free" you give people in exchange for their email addresses serves ALL the purposes explained in this post: that will help to maintain your open-rates, so that people actually read and pay attention to the emails you send them.
